What Makes Us Unique

‍At Cloudbeds, we're not just building software, we’re transforming hospitality. Our intelligently designed platform powers properties across 150 countries, processing billions in bookings annually. From independent properties to hotel groups, we help hoteliers transform operations and uplevel their commercial strategy through a unified platform that integrates with hundreds of partners. And we do it with a completely remote team. Imagine working alongside global innovators to build AI-powered solutions that solve hoteliers' biggest challenges. Since our founding in 2012, we've become the World's Best Hotel PMS Solutions Provider and landed on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 again in 2024, but we're just getting started.

How You'll Make an Impact:

As Director of Customer Support, you will lead our global support organization and own the experience hoteliers have when they need us most. This is a builder's role at a pivotal moment. We are transforming reactive support into proactive partnership, combining AI at scale with the empathy of true hospitality. You will be accountable for the health of the queue, the quality of every answer, and the wellbeing of the people who deliver it — raising first contact resolution and driving down resolution times while keeping the customer experience human.

Our Customer Support Team:

Forget the stuffy corporate office. We are a completely remote global team of innovators and hospitality experts. The support organization spans roughly 66 coaches and advanced support specialists across LATAM, EMEA, and APAC, organized into teams led by experienced leads and senior leads. We are our clients' secret weapon and trusted advisor, and we are rebuilding how support works from the ground up.

What You Bring to the Team:

 • Lead a global, multi-time-zone customer support organization with full accountability for first contact resolution, response and resolution times, CSAT, and retention
 • Bring a track record of moving the metrics that matter and rebuilding team health and morale after periods of high pressure
 • Apply deep hospitality or hospitality-technology experience to every escalation and process decision — you understand property operations, distribution, and what downtime costs a hotelier in real time
 • Deploy AI-assisted support with strong instincts for where it helps the hotelier and where it gets in the way — accuracy over scale
 • Translate technical and operational concepts into clear, practical guidance for non-technical customers and internal teams
 • Lead other leaders with empathy and accountability across multiple regions, languages, and cultures

What Sets You Up for Success:

 • 8+ years in customer support or service, including at least 4 years leading teams with experience leading other leaders
 • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality, business, or technology
 • Experience scaling a high-volume support function through significant change or transformation
 • Excellent crisis management and escalation handling with confident cross-functional alignment across Product, Onboarding, and Account Management
 • A bias toward fixing root causes — you challenge process that creates unnecessary work and prove a fix by hand before automating it
 • Experience leading distributed teams across multiple regions, languages, and cultures

Bonus Skills to Stand Out :

 • Senior leadership experience managing managers across multiple regions
 • Advanced degree in Hospitality or Business
 • Experience standing up a customer recovery or save motion for at-risk accounts

Compensation: Depending on your skills and experience, you can expect your annual compensation to be between $140,000-180,000+ USD.

Hi, I'm Jace Talamantes. I founded Ashby's Customer Education function in 2025 and now lead the team. I am excited to be hiring a Customer Education Program Manager, Live Learning!

Our team is built on a simple belief: Ashby Academy should feel like every customer's personal CSM. Regardless of tier or team size, every Ashby customer deserves content that meets them where they are — practical, accurate, and genuinely useful. That standard shapes everything we build, and it's what's driven the development of our growing Academy courses, webinar program, and playbook library. We have ambitions to expand both the depth of our content and the formats we deliver it in, and this hire is a meaningful part of getting there.

As our first dedicated live-learning hire, you’ll help define what this program becomes and build the practices that make it work. Our Startup Customer Success and Recruiting Operations Consulting teams already run live sessions that customers value. You’ll lead how those experiences should come together, bring a point of view on where we should invest next, and define what great live learning at Ashby should feel like.

This role needs both vision and execution. You’ll shape the direction and stay close to the work: planning the calendar, simplifying registration, developing a workshop with an expert, coaching presenters, and hosting selected sessions yourself. You should be as interested in getting next week’s session right as you are in imagining what the program could become over the next year.

You’ll report to me and partner with Customer Success, Customer Education, and Marketing. There’s a foundation to build on and people to partner with, alongside plenty of room to set direction and drive the work. If you enjoy forming a point of view, turning it into something practical, and improving it as you learn, there’s a lot to make your own here.

What you’ll do at Ashby

Own the Customer Success live-learning program, bringing existing programs together under a shared calendar, planning process, and consistent customer experience. Establish a clear process for evaluating, prioritizing, and developing new ideas.

Make sessions easier to run. Own registration, reminders, session setup, presenter preparation, live production, surveys, follow-up, and recording handoffs. Build reusable templates and clear operating practices that reduce repeated work.

Design learning around customer needs. Partner with presenters and Customer Education Program Managers to define the audience, intended outcome, format, and supporting resources. Develop session outlines, exercises, facilitator guides, and other materials that help customers apply what they learn.

Help experts become effective presenters. Define what a high-quality session looks like, run rehearsals, coach presenters, and improve how sessions handle questions, participation, pacing, and mixed experience levels.

Host and facilitate selected sessions. Lead or co-facilitate learning where it serves the program, moderate questions and activities, model effective teaching, and help test new formats. Build a program that supports multiple presenters rather than depending on you to teach every session.

Own the live-learning recording library. Make useful sessions easy to find and learn from after the live event. Decide what to publish, how to organize it, and when to refresh or retire it. Partner with Academy operations on publishing and with presenters and CEPMs on accuracy, supporting resources, and opportunities to turn sessions into other learning formats.

Make sessions easy to discover and join. Work with Marketing on the website experience, audience communications, packaging, and connections to broader programs. Give customers a clear way to find the right session and their next learning step.

Measure and improve the program. Track registration, attendance, engagement, learner feedback, and operational effort. Define the product behavior each program is intended to support and work with partners to assess whether customers take action.

Expand deliberately. Use customer needs and program evidence to recommend additional audiences and formats, including onboarding sessions, RecOps clinics, applied workshops, and customer spotlights.

Our teams currently run roughly two to three sessions each week. Your initial priority is to establish reliable delivery of the existing program. You’ll work with your manager to prioritize improvements and expand formats, balancing customer needs with presenter availability and operational capacity.

How you’ll work with other teams

Startup CSMs and RecOps consultants will continue to lead the subject-matter content and delivery for their audiences. You’ll partner with them on learning design, preparation, and quality while owning the overall program and its operations.

You’ll work together with Customer Education Program Managers to decide where live learning fits and how it connects with existing courses, playbooks, and release education.

Marketing will partner on website presence, promotion, packaging, and broader program alignment. Operations and systems partners will support platform setup and integrations. You’ll define program requirements and work with those partners to improve workflows.

This role focuses on scalable customer learning. Individual customer training and consulting engagements remain with the teams responsible for those services.

Examples of work you might own

Bring Startup and RecOps sessions into one coordinated calendar with a consistent registration and follow-up experience.

Turn a presentation-heavy session into a workshop where customers practice a workflow and receive feedback.

Create a presenter kit with an outline, rehearsal checklist, production plan, and guidance for handling questions.

Work with Marketing and Event Ops to simplify webinar setup and connect registration and attendance data with our reporting.

Package a useful session into a recording, a short practical resource, and a clear next step in Academy.

Review a series with strong attendance but limited follow-through and recommend what to change before running it again.

You may be a great fit if:

You’ve owned recurring live education or a comparable customer-facing program and can show how you made it more useful, reliable, or scalable.

You come from customer education, product training, customer success, enablement, learning design, or webinar program management. What matters most is evidence that you can combine strong operational ownership with thoughtful teaching and a strong understanding of customer needs.

You own recurring work reliably. You can manage a calendar, multiple contributors, deadlines, and dependencies while keeping the customer experience consistent.

You’ve helped people learn something complex. You can explain clearly, use practical examples, and check whether someone can apply what you taught.

You’re comfortable facilitating live. You can guide participation, respond to questions, adjust your approach, and keep a session useful when something unexpected happens.

You help other people teach effectively. You can give specific, constructive feedback and help an expert turn deep knowledge into an accessible learning experience.

You learn products firsthand. You explore workflows, use documentation, test your understanding, and know when expert validation is needed. Prior Ashby experience is helpful, but not required.

You’re comfortable with the operational details. You’ve worked with webinar or virtual-learning platforms and understand registration, communications, recordings, surveys, and reporting. Experience with HubSpot or a comparable system is useful.

You bring a point of view and turn it into practice. You can assess an existing program, recommend what to keep, change, or build next, and personally drive the work with the right partners.

You use evidence to improve. You can use learner feedback and behavior to assess whether a session helped customers apply what they learned.

You may not be a great fit if:

You want to focus exclusively on presenting. A substantial part of this role is planning, production, systems, and supporting other presenters.

You want to focus on program strategy without staying close to delivery. This role includes hands-on setup, production, follow-up, and troubleshooting alongside improving how the program runs.

You measure success primarily by the number of events delivered. We care about whether the right customers participate, learn, and apply what the program teaches.

You need an established playbook for every decision. There is a foundation to build on, and you’ll help determine how it develops.

Interview process

We want the process to give you a clear picture of the work and give us practical evidence of how you approach it. Here's what you can expect:

An introductory conversation with Recruiting (30 minutes)

A hiring manager conversation about programs you’ve owned (45 minutes)

A bounded take-home exercise (one week to complete)

Final Round interview (two hours)

A discussion of your approach to the take-home exercise (45 minutes)

A conversation about facilitation and presenter coaching (30 minutes)

A cross-functional partnership conversation (30 minutes)

Closing questions with the myself, the Hiring Manager (15 minutes)

We’ll share the full schedule, preparation expectations, and evaluation criteria before the exercise.

About Ashby

We’re building the next generation of enterprise software, and we’re starting with a suite of products that help talent leaders, recruiters, and hiring managers run their hiring process significantly better.
About Owner

Owner is the AI-native system local business owners use to succeed, starting with restaurants.

We’re building the system that replaces the many tools owners use to run their business.

It powers everything from the restaurant’s website, online ordering, CRM, POS, and more.

Product philosophy

Most small business software makes owners do the work to get what they want: sales growth and profit growth. Owner does the work for them agentically.

Our system drives demand, converts it, and helps operators run their business day to day. As it improves, the business improves with it.

Using Owner should feel like having a team of great operators, engineers, and marketers working for you.

Our vision

We’re starting by helping independent restaurants succeed online.

But it’s not just restaurants that need our help. Most local businesses are struggling with these same problems. Huge technology corporations are taking their customers, bleeding their profits, and making it hard for them to survive.

Once we nail the solution for restaurants – we’ll scale it into every other local business type.

In the future we envision, tens of millions of local business owners will use our technology to succeed in the digital age.

Our traction

Since 2020, we've generated tens of millions in revenue and processed over a billion dollars of online orders. 1 in 5 Americans have used an Owner.com website.

More importantly, we’ve helped over 20,000 restaurant owners, and saved them nearly $200 million in fees.

Our team

Our team is now in the low hundreds. We’ve got top talent from the most successful companies in SMB software, including: Shopify, HubSpot, DoorDash, ServiceTitan, Rappi, Faire and Stripe.

We’ll be scaling even faster in 2026 to keep pace with our customer growth.

Where we work

Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. Most of our teammates are distributed throughout the globe. Please review the role description and discuss with your recruiter for more details on location!

About the Role

As a Strategic CSM, you'll own the full lifecycle for approximately 100 of our biggest & most important brands. These are the accounts where Owner's platform has the deepest impact. In an intensively competitive market a great CSM relationship is the difference between a customer who stays and grows and one who churns.

This is not a 'check the box' CS role. You'll operate as a trusted business consultant for restaurant owners. You'll analyze their performance data, shape their marketing strategy, troubleshoot their operations, and build the kind of relationship where they call you before they call anyone else. You'll also help build the playbooks, processes, and institutional knowledge that make the Strategic motion repeatable as we scale.

We're looking for someone who thrives with a high volume of relationships. Who can handle the pace and ambiguity of a startup, and someone who finds real satisfaction in helping small business owners win.

What You'll Do

Own your book. Manage a named portfolio of ~100 parent restaurant brands. You're their person — the single point of accountability for their success on the Owner platform, from onboarding through renewal and beyond.

Be the consultant they don't have. Most independent restaurant owners don't have a CMO, a CTO, or a data analyst. You'll fill all three gaps — translating platform data into plain-language recommendations on online ordering performance, marketing campaigns, SEO, and guest engagement. You'll lead kickoff calls, performance reviews, and proactive check-ins that are grounded in their numbers and focused on driving results.

Protect and grow revenue. Own retention and growth for your book. Proactively identify churn signals using data points, intervene before problems escalate, and build the case for why Owner is driving real value. When a customer is considering leaving, you'll lead the save conversation with data and empathy.

Run business reviews that matter. Prepare and deliver recurring performance reviews for your key accounts. You’ll lead honest conversations about what's working, what's not, and what to do next. Tie every recommendation back to the restaurant's actual business goals: more orders, more repeat guests, more revenue through their own channels.

Build the motion. The Strategic CSM function is still maturing. You'll have real input into the playbooks, engagement models, and operational systems that define how this team works. If you see a better way to segment, prioritize, or engage, you'll have a seat at the table to propose it and the support to build it.

Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with Sales, Partnerships, Launch, Marketing, SEO, and Product to advocate for your customers and close the loop on their feedback. Escalate intelligently. Bring patterns, not just problems.

What You Bring

3+ years in Customer Success, Account Management, or a related customer-facing role in B2B or B2B2C SaaS. You've managed a book of business, owned retention metrics, and operated with real accountability for outcomes.

Experience managing multi-location or high-value accounts. You know what it means to manage complexity across locations, stakeholders, and priorities — and you don't lose the thread.

A consultative, data-informed approach. You're comfortable pulling a report, identifying the story in the numbers, and translating that into a recommendation a restaurant owner can act on. You don't just present data — you interpret it.

The ability to handle hard conversations with grace. You've navigated cancellation calls, retention negotiations, and de-escalations. You don't shy away from conflict — you lean into it with empathy and clarity.

Strong prioritization instincts. With ~100 accounts, you can't go deep on everything every day. You know how to segment by risk and opportunity, manage your time ruthlessly, and still make every customer feel like they matter.

Comfort with a fast-moving environment. You'll work daily in Salesforce, Notion, Slack, SalesLoft, and Sigma. You’ll have 10-20 calls per day with customers. You’ll find problems you don’t have answers for but are expected to find them. You don’t have to be an expert on day 1 but you’re expected to be the person who hustles each day to get better.

Communication skills that flex. You can write a crisp email to a restaurant owner, lead a compelling business review, and summarize a complex situation for your manager in the same morning.

Nice to Have

Experience in the restaurant, food, or hospitality industry

Familiarity with online ordering platforms, POS systems, or restaurant marketing tools

Experience working in a high-growth startup where processes are still being built

Bilingual (English/Spanish) — a meaningful share of our restaurant partners are Spanish-speaking owners

What Success Looks Like

You'll be measured on the outcomes that matter most to our customers and our business:

Revenue retention - you keep your book healthy and growing

Customer engagement and product adoption - your customers are actually using the platform, and you know why (or why not)

Risk reduction - You proactively identify and reduce the overall risk for our strategic portfolio

A Note About This Role

We'll be honest: this is a demanding job. You'll carry a large book, move fast, and wear a lot of hats. Priorities will shift. You'll be expected to operate with high ownership and minimal hand-holding.

But if you're the kind of person who finds energy in helping small business owners grow — who gets a genuine thrill from seeing a restaurant's online orders climb because of a recommendation you made — this is one of the most rewarding roles in customer success. You'll have a meaningful impact on real businesses, real influence on how we build this function, and a front-row seat to one of the most exciting platform plays in the restaurant industry.

Compensation and benefits

The estimated base salary range for this role is $90K-100K USD / $125,500-$137,000 CAD. Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, work from anywhere (100% remote workplace), unlimited PTO - plus extra fun perks!

Notice - Employment Scams

Communication from our team regarding job opportunities will only be made by an Owner team member with an @owner.com email address.

We do not conduct interviews over email or chat platforms, and we will never ask you to provide personal or financial information such as your mailing address, social security number, credit card numbers or banking information. If you believe you are being contacted by a scammer, please mark the communication as 'phishing' or “spam” and do not respond.

About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

Ramp builds software that moves real money, from bill payments and corporate cards to reimbursements, accounting integrations, and travel. Our customers rely on us to keep their operations running: invoices get paid, books get closed, and finance leaders can trust the data behind every decision.

In this role, you will be the person who spots where customers are getting stuck and drives issues to a clear resolution. You will learn a complex product deeply enough to troubleshoot across payments, bank linking, accounting syncs, and card programs, then partner with teams across Engineering, Risk, Product, and Partnerships to get problems solved. This is not script-based support. You will triage, investigate, and make high-signal judgment calls throughout the day.

You will thrive in this role if you are a systems thinker and deeply customer obsessed. Support is the baseline. How you think about improving processes, tools, and outcomes is what sets you apart.

What You’ll Do

Be the voice of Ramp's Customer Support. You'll spend your day engaging with customers, primarily via live calls, email, and chat.

Diagnose across a broad product surface. Ramp isn't one product — it's payments, cards, travel, accounting integrations, and more. You'll need to understand how they connect and where they break.

Operate with an ownership mindset, managing escalations end-to-end. You take full accountability for every ticket you handle. When an issue crosses team boundaries — risk, engineering, product, partnerships — you route it correctly, follow up, and make sure the customer isn't left waiting. You'll work across Zendesk, internal tooling, and Slack-based escalation workflows.

Build and shape AI tools, not just use them. Ramp is building AI into CX operations. You'll use AI-powered research tools and proprietary tools like Glass daily, provide direct feedback on what's working, and play an active role in how these tools evolve. You're not just a user — you're a builder. We are all builders at Ramp.

Ship improvements, not just flag them. When you notice a process gap, a missing SOP, or a knowledge base article that's sending associates down the wrong path, you don't just raise it — you have the autonomy to roll up your sleeves and fix it. Leverage AI to solve problems, build automations, and improve the systems around you. The best people in this role make the whole team better.

Communicate with precision and empathy. Our customers are financially sophisticated. You need to explain what's happening, what you're doing about it, and what they should expect — clearly and without filler.

What You Need

You're a systems thinker: you don't just solve the ticket in front of you, you ask why the problem exists and how to prevent it from happening again.

You actively use AI tools — Claude, Notion AI, research and workflow tools — and can demonstrate how you've applied them to get real work done. This is a hard requirement.

You're fast-moving while holding yourself to a high bar for execution: you balance speed, accuracy, and thoroughness in every interaction.

You can hold a technical conversation about how systems connect (APIs, bank integrations, accounting software) even if you're not writing code.

You manage competing priorities without dropping things. When you have 15 open issues across 4 internal teams, nothing falls through.

You write clearly and concisely. You can explain a payment reconciliation issue to a CFO without jargon.

You're comfortable on the phone. Many interactions start there.

You have a demonstrated track record of exceeding key performance standards, including CSAT, QA, and speed-of-service metrics.

Nice to Haves

Experience building workflows or automations using AI tools, not just prompting

Familiarity with accounting workflows (AP/AR, GL, reconciliation) or ERP integrations (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage)

Background in payments infrastructure (ACH, wire transfers, card networks)

Track record of working somewhere that shipped product fast and expected CX to keep up

Why be a CX Associate at Ramp

Cross-functional exposure from day one. You work directly with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams — not siloed into a support queue.

AI tools and unlimited access. Unlimited tokens, proprietary AI tools like Glass, and a culture that expects you to use them to move faster and build smarter.

Career growth that you own. Grow within CX, explore other functions internally, or carve out a path that doesn't exist yet. If you're invested, we're invested.

Culture that's different from a call center. Team events, in-person offsites, and a genuine commitment to building a team people want to be part of.

Read more about how Ramp thinks about AI and CX:

How Ramp Became an AI-First Company — Geoff Charles, CPO

Inside Glass: How Ramp Built a Proprietary AI Platform for CX — Seb Goddijn, AI Product Manager

AI-Powered Customer Experience at Ramp — Ben Levick, Head of CX / Ramp AI

What to know before you apply

Schedule & Shift Bidding - Please Read Carefully: CX Associates work a set 40-hour/week schedule assigned through a schedule-bid process.

Associates also cover 2–3 company holidays per year on a rotating basis. Ramp's customers operate on financial deadlines that don't pause.

The product changes frequently. If you need a stable, predictable environment, this isn't it.
