Responsibilities

Premium Content
- Craft compelling, user-focused designs for on- and off-platform brand experiences—from immersive article packages and landing pages to interactive features and video.
- Translate client briefs and content goals into clear visual concepts, owning the design from initial direction through polished final delivery.
- Partner closely with branded content editors to build coherent, end-to-end content experiences where design and narrative reinforce each other.
- Uphold both Forbes' editorial standards and each client's brand guidelines, balancing creative ambition with practical execution across multiple concurrent projects.
Social
- Design and produce engaging, platform-native social content, including carousels, GIFs, motion graphics, and short-form video, tailored to the conventions and audiences of each channel.
- Develop social-first concepts that extend premium campaigns and stand on their own, keeping pace with fast-moving formats and trends.
- Use social performance data and audience behavior to inform creative decisions, iterate on what's working, and continually sharpen engagement.
Pre-Sale & Pitch Work
- Create polished pre-sale mockups and concept designs that help bring proposals to life and win new business.

Live Events

The Ideal Candidate

3+ years of experience in digital/interaction design. Experience in editorial, branded content, or agency environments is a plus.

The annual base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000

We are seeking a Marketing Designer to help bring to life the full-funnel creative strategy and execution for our News product and All Access bundle subscription offering. Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on graphic design experience at an advertising agency, digital agency, studio or in-house team, with a focus on marketing or advertising creative.
A design portfolio that shows sharp execution and conceptual thinking across a range of touch points — including social, digital display, email, in-app and print — and demonstrates how your design choices clarify complex ideas for different audiences across the funnel.
High proficiency in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, hierarchy, proportion, color, emphasis and unity, with a refined aesthetic and strong attention to detail from concept through production.
Fluency with design and motion tools such as Figma, Jitter and Adobe Creative Suite, with thoughtfully organized files that support iteration, collaboration and production.

The annual base pay range for this role is between:

$85,000—$100,000 USD

We're changing that. Hightouch's Agentic Marketing Platform is the system enterprise marketers are using to plan, generate, and ship lifecycle campaigns with their data, their guidelines, and their voice. We're hiring an AI Creative Designer to be the human who proves what's possible. You'll collaborate alongside our Solutions Engineering team on enterprise customer calls, translate brand guidelines into agentic workflows that actually produce on-brand email and lifecycle creative, and ship the work that makes the case. You will be the most influential creative voice in the room, both for our customers and for our product.

You will define how the most recognizable brands in the world build email with AI, and you will watch the work you direct ship to millions of inboxes.

What You’ll Do

Lead creative on enterprise engagements. Partner directly with our customers' lifecycle and marketing teams to accelerate the adoption of our Agentic Marketing Platform through on-brand email systems that deliver immediate impact. Understand each brand's identity, engagement goals, and constraints. Build the agentic workflows, prompts, reference libraries, and guardrails that produce work the brand is proud to send.
Set the creative bar. When a customer asks "can your platform make an email that looks like this," you're the person who makes it look like that. You'll produce the creative work that turns curiosity into conviction and proves what's possible.
Drive performance, not just aesthetics. Partner with customers on A/B tests, iterate on creative based on results, and build the playbook for what drives opens, clicks, and conversions, and reliably lands in the inbox, when AI is in the loop.
Shape the product. As the creative voice closest to product and engineering, you'll spot friction, refine workflows, and help shape model behavior to directly influence what we build next!
Define the playbook. Document patterns that work, share them with the team, and build the body of knowledge that lets us scale taste across every customer we onboard.

What You Bring

A portfolio that does the talking. Real lifecycle programs, real email campaigns, real product launches. Ideally with AI integrated into the workflow, but the bar is craft. If your work is exceptional, we want to see it. (Applications without a portfolio link will not be reviewed.)
Deep email design experience. You've designed hundreds of emails across lifecycle programs (onboarding, nurture, retention, win-back) and you have sharp opinions about layout, hierarchy, and what renders well across clients and devices. Comfortable getting into the code and build of an email is a plus.
Deep AI fluency. You don't need us to teach you what's new. You're already testing the latest image and generative models the week they drop, you're stringing them together in node based UIs, you have strong opinions about which ones get which jobs, and you know how to push them past their defaults to hit a specific look.
Enterprise client instincts. You've worked directly with sophisticated marketing teams, in-house, agency, or consultancy, and you know how to navigate brand reviews, legal, and the politics of getting work approved.
Lifecycle marketing literacy. You understand the difference between an email that wins a design award and one that hits an engagement or revenue target, and you can hold both standards at once.
Taste. This is the hardest one to write a bullet for, so we'll just say it: you have it, your portfolio shows it, and you can articulate why something works.

Reporting into the Solutions & Success organization, you will be a zero-to-one foundational member of the team. What We’re Looking For

Salary Range

The base salary compensation range targeted for this full-time position is $95,000 - $113,000 per annum. You are an experienced CD who is inspired by culture and the world around them. We need creative visionaries who make work that people want to find, become a part of and ultimately, share. You will become the voice of the ideas you create, lead and present work, both internally and externally.

As a CD, mastery of the NY Times platform, journalism and advertising products will be a critical component to the success of this role. All T Brand Creative Directors work cross-functionally with teams in our lifestyle brands (Cooking, Games, Wirecutter, The Athletic) and Partnerships to identify unique opportunities for advertisers.

You are an expert – deeply immersed in the world of luxury brands, spanning couture fashion, high jewelry, watches, home goods and beauty. You must be fluent in relevant trends driving the fashion industry forward and with the ability to be a respected, credible voice in client conversations. An extreme comfort is required in collaborating with clients and having a demonstrated understanding of their business and the business of competitors in the space. Well versed in conceptual thinking, you are proficient in proactively concepting creative ideas that resonate with luxury advertisers and can respond to the shifting dynamics of the luxury industry. Identifying new opportunities as well as expanding existing relationships is key, as you will play a pivotal role in expanding the luxury business in partnership with the luxury sales and strategy team.

You will work on a wide range of projects in collaboration with our sales, strategy and media teams to create brand-defining platforms and storytelling that works in video, digital and traditional mediums. You will play a key role in key top-to-top meetings, client relationship development and selling meaningful, idea-led work.

This is a senior-level, independent contributor role, not a managerial role. You will lead creative projects, but you are not a people manager and you will not have direct reports. You must bring a collaborative spirit to your work, while providing guidance, clarity and leadership. You will work alongside other T Brand CDs responsible for industry verticals.

This is a hybrid role based in our New York City headquarters, reporting to the Director of Creative. You can typically expect to come into the office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

Craft creative storytelling solutions to meet luxury advertisers KPI's.
Facilitate and lead development of the creative of the conceptual framework for all luxury projects.
Decipher the creative brief to deliver the elevated creative concepting which meets the goals of luxury clients.
Partner with Sales and Strategy to navigate complex client structures, and with Program Management to build scopes of work and project plans that properly set our team up for success against creative deliverables.
Mentor design team members specifically tasked with working on luxury projects to ensure the standard for excellence is consistent with luxury advertiser expectations.
Provide clear and objective critiques of creative work.
Present internally and externally to clients, with proven comfort interfacing with executive level stakeholders.
Remain current on the luxury industry demonstrating a fluency with industry trends, news, and business shifts.
Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.

Basic Qualifications:

5-7 years of direct experience in the luxury space (brand, agency, studio or publisher).
10+ years of relevant experience inside a branded content studio, media, advertising agency or brand in-house agency environment.
Exceptional presentation skills – a requirement for both internal and external creative presentations.
Exceptional craft in Design or Art. Demonstrated visual taste and aesthetics.
Experience ideating and executing in all mediums - print, digital, video, social media.
Demonstrated experience across a wide range of marketing channels.
Decipher a creative brief and how it applies to strategy, objectives and creative deliverables.
Proven track record for outstanding luxury concept ideation and award-winning creative.
An established network of luxury creative collaborators; ability to make recommendations for vendor talent critical for credibility in the space.
A track record of fostering teamwork that leads to repeated client business.
An experienced relationship builder who can manage multiple opinions, and personalities to create an atmosphere of camaraderie and collaboration.
Strategic thinker who connects the dots in unexpected ways and champions new ideas and ways of working.

Creative experience in other categories (entertainment, culture, general market, etc.)

The annual base pay range for this role is between:

$175,000—$195,000 USD
