Superhuman’s success depends on its ability to efficiently ingest and process over 70 billion daily events to improve our products. This role presents a unique opportunity to experience all aspects of building complex data pipelines and systems, including contributing to the strategy, defining the architecture, and developing and shipping to production.

Superhuman is a compound startup: we build many products as one integrated suite rather than standalone tools. That model creates an unusually rich data opportunity, with signals spanning our full product suite across both consumers and enterprises — and the foundational data you build connects those surfaces.

The Data Foundations team is part of the Data Platform org, powering data needs across Superhuman rather than a single product surface. It owns the foundational datasets and data models that define the fundamental entities of Superhuman's business, serving as building blocks for the company's other data teams and data scientists. Behind the scenes, the team develops and runs large-scale ETL pipelines that process petabytes of data and billions of events daily.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of data engineering, data-intensive applications, and data modeling, where the systems you build directly shape how efficiently our other Data teams can build their datasets.

What you’ll do

As a Data Engineer on the Data Foundations team, you will design and implement robust, scalable, and reliable data pipelines and systems that handle large volumes of data, empowering both product features and data-driven decision-making across the company. Your work will span areas such as ETL data pipelines, data lakes, performance-oriented data processing, and ETL framework development.

Architect, build, and own large-scale data pipelines and data lakes (Spark/Databricks) that ingest and process billions of daily events into reliable, decision-grade datasets.

Design and implement solutions that keep data available, secure, and scalable across the platform, enabling both real-time and batch processing.

Own data quality, freshness, and reliability for the foundational datasets other teams depend on, with automated checks, monitoring, and alerting.

Build the ETL frameworks and tooling that let other Data teams and data scientists self-serve and model core business entities into clean, well-documented, reusable datasets.

Partner with product teams, back-end engineers, ML engineers, and Data Science to turn business questions into high-impact data products behind business-critical features, research, and experimentation.

Collaborate with leadership to shape the team’s charter and technical roadmap.

Qualifications

You have 3+ years of experience running live production environments, including high-load or data-intensive workflows, with a focus on uptime and reliability.

You’re proficient in SQL and Python, with deep hands-on experience in Spark and a modern lakehouse or cloud data warehouse (Databricks, Delta Lake, dbt, Snowflake, or similar).

You have strong knowledge of ETL/ELT design patterns, orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, or Dagster), data quality frameworks, and CI/CD for data with Git-based deployments.

You have data modeling and data warehouse design skills, along with a rigorous approach to data quality and observability.

You have hands-on experience with modern data storage technologies (for example, Delta Lake, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).

You communicate clearly and collaborate well across diverse teams and stakeholders, turning business needs into robust data solutions and trustworthy metrics.

You bring a strong ownership mindset, taking end-to-end responsibility for the systems you build, from strategy and architecture through production and ongoing reliability.

You have a strong acumen for scalable, highly complex data processing, think holistically about problems, and raise the bar on your team’s craft.

You’re a self-starting problem-solver who thinks from first principles, manages priorities across multiple projects, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Nice to have

You have experience operating large-scale distributed systems, as well as in data engineering and data modeling.

Experience with high-throughput, real-time streaming systems (for example, Kafka, Flink, or Spark Structured Streaming) at the scale of billions of events per day.

Comfort with data lake and lakehouse technologies (for example, Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Hudi) and managing cloud infrastructure as code (for example, Terraform).

A track record of building self-serve data products, tools, or frameworks that other teams rely on.

Experience partnering with analytics, data science, or machine learning teams as a strategic data partner to productionize data and models.

Compensation and Benefits

Superhuman offers all team members competitive pay along with a benefits package encompassing the following and more:

Excellent health care (including a wide range of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and fertility benefits)

Disability and life insurance options

401(k) matching

Paid parental leave

20 days of paid time off per year, 12 days of paid holidays per year, two floating holidays per year, and flexible sick time

Generous stipends (including those for caregiving, pet care, wellness, your home office, and more)

Annual professional development budget and opportunities

Superhuman takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location.
Company Overview

Deepgram is the leading platform underpinning the emerging trillion-dollar Voice AI economy, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and building production-grade voice agents at scale. More than 200,000 developers and 1,300+ organizations build voice offerings that are ‘Powered by Deepgram’, including Twilio, Cloudflare, Sierra, Decagon, Vapi, Daily, Cresta, Granola, and Jack in the Box. Deepgram’s voice-native foundation models are accessed through cloud APIs or as self-hosted and on-premises software, with unmatched accuracy, low latency, and cost efficiency. Backed by a recent Series C led by leading global investors and strategic partners, Deepgram has processed over 50,000 years of audio and transcribed more than 1 trillion words. There is no organization in the world that understands voice better than Deepgram.

Company Operating Rhythm

At Deepgram, we expect an AI-first mindset—AI use and comfort aren’t optional, they’re core to how we operate, innovate, and measure performance.

Every team member who works at Deepgram is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, and even build your own into your everyday work. We measure how effectively AI is applied to deliver results, and consistent, creative use of the latest AI capabilities is key to success here. Candidates should be comfortable adopting new models and modes quickly, integrating AI into their workflows, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can do.

Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.

The Opportunity

Voice is the most natural modality for human interaction with machines. However, current sequence modeling paradigms based on jointly scaling model and data cannot deliver voice AI capable of universal human interaction. The challenges are rooted in fundamental data problems posed by audio: real-world audio data is scarce and enormously diverse, spanning a vast space of voices, speaking styles, and acoustic conditions. Even if billions of hours of audio were accessible, its inherent high dimensionality creates computational and storage costs that make training and deployment prohibitively expensive at world scale. We believe that entirely new paradigms for audio AI are needed to overcome these challenges and make voice interaction accessible to everyone.

The Role

Deepgram is currently looking for seasoned Data Scientists with demonstrated experience solving hard data problems while exploring research frontiers to join our Research Staff. Conversational audio presents incredibly rich scientific, engineering, and infrastructure challenges that are orders of magnitude harder than working with text. As a Member of the Research Staff, you will help us to build an industrial “data factory” that will be used to power the next generation of Voice AI systems - unlocking the creation of models that go beyond basic transcription and comprehension, capturing nuanced meanings in complex conversations, adapting robustly to diverse speech patterns, and generating empathic responses with human-like, contextualized speech. You will collaborate closely with our product, engineering, and data teams to build and deploy models in the most scalable voice API on the planet. We look forward to you bringing your expertise, sharing insights from your latest experiments, and collaborating with us to push the boundaries of AI and voice technology.

The Challenge

We are seeking Research Staff who:

See 'unsolved' problems as opportunities to pioneer entirely new approaches

Can identify the one critical experiment that will validate or kill an idea in days, not months

Have the vision to scale successful proofs-of-concept 100x

Are obsessed with using AI to automate and amplify your own impact

If you find yourself energized rather than daunted by these expectations—if you're already thinking about five ideas to try while reading this—you might be the researcher we need. This role demands obsession with the problems, creativity in approach, and relentless drive toward elegant, scalable solutions. The technical challenges are immense, but the potential impact is transformative.

What You'll Do

Drive high performance data acquisition, preparation and synthesis pipelines to generate data for the next generation of speech and language AI foundation models

Develop advanced characterizations of complex conversational audio utilizing a diverse toolkit of signals processing techniques and deep learning models

Collaborate with DataOps and Engineering to create automated systems which scale the ability of human annotators to label high value data and provide critical feedback on model outputs

Build advanced benchmarking methodologies and curated datasets for evaluating conversational voice systems

Document and present results of data experiments and analysis for internal and external audiences

You’ll Love This Role If You

Are obsessed with making sense out of complex and/or messy data

Enjoy building from the ground up and love to create new systems from scratch

Are passionate about AI and interested in leveraging data to solve hard problems

Are motivated by the prospect of scaling yourself using automation and AI models

It's Important to Us That You Have

Experience building data processing pipelines from a blank page and owning the entire data stack including data acquisition, characterization, cleaning, serving and transformation

Experience and expertise applying statistical methods and deep learning models to understand complex data

Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts in simple terms, depending on the target audience

Strong software engineering skills with particular emphasis on developing clean, modular code in Python and working with Pytorch

Nice to Haves

Background in Physics, Mechanical Engineering or Language Processing

Experience building models

Speech and audio experience

Notice: We're aware of individuals impersonating Deepgram recruiters.

About Deepgram

Deepgram is the foundational AI company for voice. We build the models that allow machines to hear, understand, and speak to humans with zero latency. As we scale our usage-based economy, we are building the 'Intelligence Layer'—a system of autonomous agents that monitor, reason, and act on our data to drive NRR and operational excellence.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Decision Intelligence, you are the founding engineer of the Data Intelligence team. While the Head of Data sets the strategic 'Brain' of the company, you build the nervous system. You are not building legacy dashboards; instead you are building the API-based tools, dbt models, and semantic layers that allow AI agents to navigate our data environment autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

Semantic Layer Architecture: Build and maintain high-fidelity dbt and SQL models that serve as the 'ground truth' for our complex, usage-based revenue models.

Agent Tooling & Integration: Develop the tools and permissions frameworks that allow 'Analyst Agents' to query Athena, correlate Salesforce churn signals, and identify API latency issues.

Infrastructure Evolution: Serve as the technical bridge to the Engineering/Infra team to ensure our data contracts are 'agent-ready' and highly reliable.

The 'Unlock Audio Intelligence' Project: Partner with the Head of Data to ingest thousands of hours of internal calls using Deepgram’s own models, turning unstructured audio into queryable insights for GTM teams.

Automation Obsession: Maintain a culture where manual, repetitive SQL tasks are viewed as automation bugs to be solved with code and agents.

Requirements

Experience: 5+ years in high-growth Data or AI Engineering roles.

AI-Native Technical Skills: Mastery of SQL and Python (production-grade) with a proven track record of building RAG or Agentic systems on top of structured data.

Usage-Based SaaS Fluency: Familiarity with the metrics of an API-first business, such as consumption patterns, gross margins, and NRR.

Builder Mindset: Comfort with 'work-in-progress' infrastructure and the ability to turn messy, siloed data into high-impact business logic.

Bonus Points

Prior experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer.

Experience with real-time billing and consumption systems.

Contributions to open-source data or AI projects.

Notice: We're aware of individuals impersonating Deepgram recruiters. As more reporting and decision-making moves to AI agents, the cost of ambiguous or conflicting metric definitions compounds, an agent applies the wrong rule confidently, at scale, and nobody catches it.

This role exists to prevent that. You will own what our numbers mean, make those definitions enforceable in the systems that serve them, and verify that both people and agents are using them.

This is a governance-first role with real technical depth. You will spend your time defining, implementing, and validating, building pipelines and developing agentic reporting are secondary.

What you'll work on

Own the metric registry. Establish canonical definitions for the metrics the business runs on. Where competing versions exist, convene the owners, document the disagreement, and drive to a decision. Publish changes with a clear statement of what moves and why.

Make definitions enforceable. Implement agreed definitions in the semantic layer and data catalog so they are applied by the system rather than described in a document. Retire superseded versions.

Reduce the surface area. Audit the reporting estate, retire assets with no audience, and establish ownership for what remains.

Build data quality checks/agents. Freshness, uniqueness, referential integrity, and cross-system reconciliation — with failures routed to named owners/agents who act on them.

Verify AI agents. Maintain an inventory of agents accessing company data and the definitions each relies on. Evaluate agent output against known-correct answers and track accuracy, refusal, and error rates.

Enable self-serve. Make governed data accessible and trustworthy for people querying it directly or through AI tools.

Qualifications

5+ years in analytics, analytics engineering, or a closely related field

Strong SQL, including comfort reverse-engineering undocumented transformation logic written by others

Direct ownership of a semantic or metrics layer in production — dbt, Cube, LookML, or equivalent.
RevenueCat gives app businesses the infrastructure and tools to build, run, and improve their monetization. Since graduating from YC's S18 batch, we've grown into the default monetization platform for mobile.

We're in 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps, we process $16B+ in annual purchase volume, and we help everyone from a solo developer to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue.

We're a remote-first team of 150+ people across 25+ countries, guided by values we actually practice: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance.

This isn't the right fit for everyone. The systems you’ll build here manage billions of dollars and touch hundreds of millions of end users, and we don’t take that lightly. You'll be expected to work hard and hold a high bar for what you ship, alongside some of the sharpest, most driven people you've worked with. If that sounds energizing rather than exhausting, keep reading.

The role

We're hiring a Data Analyst to work as close as possible to the teams that run RevenueCat's business, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, People, Ops, Product, etc.

The most valuable thing on our Analytics team today isn't SQL, it's domain knowledge. Knowing what a trial start actually counts, why tracked revenue and realized revenue are different, how store refunds land in our data, and which model answers a question correctly the first time. That knowledge is what turns a half-formed Slack question into a number someone can act on within the hour.

So you'll spend most of your time with business teams: understanding what they're trying to decide, turning vague questions into analysis, and shipping the datasets and dashboards they rely on. You'll build that domain knowledge fast, working day to day with the person who currently owns Analytics here. He'll be your closest partner and the person who helps you grow into the domain.

The second thing that makes this role exciting is how we expect you to work. We're building the infrastructure that lets AI agents access our data safely, and agentic tooling that answers questions grounded in our semantic layer rather than guessing. You'll be one of its heaviest users and one of the people who makes it trustworthy: curating the semantic context, catching the answers that look right and aren't, and pushing definitions back into dbt and LookML where they belong. We're not hiring someone to do the same volume of work faster, we're hiring someone who supports multiple teams well using this collection of new tools as a force multiplier.

What you will do

Partner regularly with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Product teams. Learn their goals, their metrics, and the decisions they're actually stuck on.

Own analysis end to end: clarify the real question, build or pick the right dataset, deliver the answer, and make sure a decision follows.

Go deep on our subscription domain, then write it down. Metric definitions, caveats, always-filters, known gotchas. Domain knowledge that only lives in your head doesn't scale, and scaling it is the point of this role.

Build analytics assets people trust without asking you first: models in dbt, explores in LookML, dashboards that hold up.

Use our agent tooling as a force multiplier and contribute back to it. Feed it semantic context, flag wrong answers, harden the definitions it depends on.

Contribute to the data platform where it unblocks you. Small model and pipeline improvements, debugging discrepancies, helping out when something breaks.

Translate in both directions: business context into robust analysis, data reality into language a non-technical stakeholder can act on.

About you

3+ years in an analytics role (Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Analyst, Analytics Engineer or similar), including real experience as the direct analytics partner to a business team such as Marketing, Sales or Finance.

Curiosity is the thing we're actually screening for:

You're uncomfortable when you don't understand why a number is what it is, and you dig until you do.

You ask the question behind the question. When someone asks for a dashboard, you find out what decision it's for.

You'd rather learn a new domain than a new tool.

You're comfortable without fully formed requirements, and you create structure where none exists yet.

You care more about being useful and clear than about polished dashboards.

You want to be a partner to the business, not a request queue.

From a skills perspective, you bring:

Strong SQL and real comfort working directly in a warehouse. You can get to an answer without hand-holding.

Experience owning datasets and dashboards that non-technical teams depend on.

Comfortable working in a repo: git, branches, pull requests, code review. Our analytics lives in version-controlled dbt and LookML repos, not in saved queries.

You already work with AI agents daily and you're appropriately skeptical of them. You can explain how you verified an answer, not just how you produced one.

Clear written communication, especially about limits, caveats, and what a number does not say.

Nice to have, and genuinely not required:

Python, dbt, Looker or LookML, Snowflake or ClickHouse

Subscription or fintech domain experience

High-volume data

What we offer:

Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator

10-year window to exercise vested equity options

A fully remote environment designed around autonomy and flexibility.

4-5 weeks of flexible time off annually

Paid desk at a co-working space

Workspace budget and continuous learning stipend

Interviewing at RevenueCat

Our interview process is rigorous on purpose. We want to be sure that everyone we bring on is genuinely excited about this work, aligned with how we operate, and ready to meet our high bar for performance. Curious what that actually looks like? Read more in our blog post on how we hire at RevenueCat, including tips to help you succeed.

More on how we work:

How we think about hiring and team design: Building a Winning Team

The values that guide how we work: Our Values

How we work as a remote team: How We Work Remotely at RevenueCat

What to expect from our interview process: Interview Expectations

What to expect from comp and employment: Employment FAQ

Building the Future of Open Finance

Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.

Before you apply, we encourage you to explore our culture page to understand what drives us and how we work.

The team

Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.

Payward's Data team builds and operates the data infrastructure, pipelines, and analytics platforms that power decision-making, reporting, and controls across the business. The team partners closely with functions across the company, including Risk & Audit, IT, Finance, and Engineering, to make sure the data those functions depend on is reliable, well-governed, and ready to stand up to scrutiny.

This role sits within the Data & Audit Readiness team and is dedicated to supporting overall audit readiness from a data standpoint. You will own the inventories, playbooks, catalogs, and access processes that keep the Data team's systems and datasets audit ready, translating audit engagements directly into coordinated, well-documented responses. Because audit readiness is best designed rather than bolted on, this role calls for a data architect's background — someone who has built data pipelines before and knows how to shape them for traceability, access control, and testability from day one. This is a hands-on, builder's role where you will build the ETL pipelines, dashboards, and audit-ready data architecture that let Internal Audit turn audit and review planning into data-driven testing.

The opportunity

Collaborate on the technical coordination and stewardship layer for shared datasets and systems in scope for audit, including financial systems, recordkeeping, and downstream reporting processes.

Spearhead improvements to governance, communication, and coordination around upstream schema and logic changes that impact downstream systems and audit-related processes.

Support technical analysis and downstream impact assessment during the change management process to improve downstream visibility for datasets, tables, and systems in scope for audit.

Support the development and maintenance of reusable audit-ready dataset patterns, including automated validation, data quality checks, and monitoring.

Review processes and datasets in scope for Audit, examine existing operational pain points, and propose reengineering opportunities and longer-term process improvements.

Provide technical guidance to business stakeholders and the Audit PM around specific Audit requests.

What you bring

7+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering, ideally supporting internal audit, risk, or SOX compliance functions within the fintech, payments, financial market or crypto where data quality and scale are non-negotiable.

Experience managing and designing data architecture in a regulated environment, having designed and built data pipelines with governance, traceability, and audit requirements considered from the outset.

Hands-on experience building and owning production data pipelines, with strong familiarity with dbt and Airflow or equivalent orchestration tools.

Full mastery of SQL including complex joins, CTEs and analytical functions, alongside strong Python proficiency for pipeline development and analysis.

Experience documenting technical and business requirements, including metadata, KPI definitions, business rules, data process flows, and data dictionaries.

Familiarity with data administration tasks: job scheduling, error/exception handling, and troubleshooting production ETL workflows.

Experience partnering with Data Engineering and/or Data Governance teams on shared datasets, schema changes, and downstream impact analysis.

Strong communicator who can translate audit and business requirements into technical specifications and translate technical work back into terms non-technical stakeholders understand.

Nice to haves

Experience building or scaling a data analytics function within an audit or risk organization from the ground up.

Familiarity with AI-assisted or automation tools for data quality checks, testing, or workflow efficiency.

Familiarity with audit management platforms (e.g., AuditBoard, Jira, Workiva).

Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.

We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.

Our commitment

Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.

We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.

As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.

Stay connected

Follow us on Twitter

Learn on the Kraken Blog

Connect on LinkedIn

Candidate Privacy Notice

About the Team

At DoorDash, including international brands Deliveroo and Wolt, we’re building the industry’s most scalable and reliable delivery network to support our three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and Dashers. Global Cyber Defense is a highly talented and globally distributed team that covers response, intelligence, insider risk, threat hunting, automation, and detection engineering. We exist to keep our brands safe for the Dashers, merchants, and consumers who depend on us. Our mission is to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats with speed and precision, while continuously hardening our defenses through automation, AI, and cross-regional collaboration.

About the Role

Security at DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt runs on telemetry, and our data pipelines team owns all of it. You will own multi-terabyte-per-day ingest across AWS and GCP, including reliability, cost, and schema, so that every detection engineer, threat hunter, and responder across three brands can find what they need. Most of your week goes to code, pipelines, and query performance rather than alert triage. The team spans the US and UK, so you will be in the room (or the thread) with IT, legal, privacy, incident response, insider risk, threat intelligence, and detection engineering on a regular basis. Very little of this work happens in isolation, and that is the fun of it. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Cyber Defense in the United States. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation for pipeline health.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

Own multi-terabyte-per-day log pipelines across AWS and GCP: ingest, routing, enrichment, schema management, and onboarding new sources as the business adds them

Control ingest cost and volume, cutting noise at the edge without dropping the audit logs investigators depend on

Model security data and tune query performance in Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift, including the tables detection engineering builds on

Ship production services and integrations that other teams depend on: custom SIEM connectors, API clients, and automation

Set and defend SLOs for log availability and freshness, and build the dashboards and alerting that prove them

Own infrastructure as code and CI/CD for all of the above, including the deployment path that detections-as-code rides on

Build AI agents and automated runbooks that speed up triage and time to fix across cloud infrastructure

Enforce IAM and service account governance for the pipeline's cloud workloads

Lead cross-functional projects spanning infrastructure, platform engineering, and incident response

Create and maintain the standards and documentation that keep the service consistent, and mentor engineers across Cyber Defense

We’re excited about you because you have…

5+ years building and operating high-volume data pipelines in production at multi-terabyte-per-day scale, with tools like Kafka, Cribl, Dataflow, Kinesis, or CloudWatch

4+ years writing production software in Python, Go, Rust, or Java: services and tooling that other engineers run, beyond one-off scripts

Deep hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, including infrastructure as code and ownership of CI/CD pipelines on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket

Strong SQL and data modeling in a columnar warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, covering partitioning, cost control, and query tuning

A track record owning reliability for a platform other engineers depend on, including on-call

Experience building executive dashboards and engineering metrics that people actually act on

Proven leadership and technical project management across infrastructure, platform engineering, and incident response

Exceptional written and verbal communication, a collaborative instinct, and a habit of continuous learning

Familiarity with an enterprise SIEM as an operator or a consumer (Google SecOps/Chronicle, Splunk, Elastic, CrowdStrike LogScale) is a plus, as is time with Kubernetes, Docker, and runtime security controls

Any hands-on time with security telemetry sources, detections-as-code (YARA-L, Sigma, SPL), LLM-assisted workflows, penetration testing, red teaming, or triaging bug bounty reports is a bonus

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

DoorDash cares about you and your overall well-being. That’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package to all regular employees, which includes a 401(k) plan with employer matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off and paid sick leave in compliance with applicable laws (e.g. Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act). DoorDash also offers medical, dental, and vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, disability and basic life insurance, family-forming assistance, and a mental health program, among others.

To learn more about our benefits, visit our careers page here.

See below for paid time off details:

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$159,800—$235,000 USD

About DoorDash

At DoorDash, our mission to empower local economies shapes how our team members move quickly, learn, and reiterate in order to make impactful decisions that display empathy for our range of users—from Dashers to merchant partners to consumers. We are a technology and logistics company that started by enabling door-to-door delivery, and we are looking for team members who can help us go from a company that is known as the place you order food to a company that people turn to for any and all goods.

DoorDash is growing rapidly and changing constantly, which gives our team members the opportunity to share their unique perspectives, solve new challenges, and own their careers. We're committed to supporting employees’ happiness, healthiness, and overall well-being by providing comprehensive benefits and perks including premium healthcare, wellness expense reimbursement, paid parental leave and more.

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel.

Statement of Non-Discrimination: In keeping with our beliefs and goals, no employee or applicant will face discrimination or harassment based on: race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, age, gender, marital/domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability status, or veteran status. Above and beyond discrimination and harassment based on “protected categories,” we also strive to prevent other subtler forms of inappropriate behavior (i.e., stereotyping) from ever gaining a foothold in our office. Whether blatant or hidden, barriers to success have no place at DoorDash. We value a diverse workforce – people who identify as women, non-binary or gender non-conforming, LGBTQIA+, American Indian or Native Alaskan, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, differently-abled, caretakers and parents, and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Thank you to the Level Playing Field Institute for this statement of non-discrimination.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation.

If you need any accommodations, please inform your recruiting contact upon initial connection.

Notice to Applicants for Jobs Located in NYC or Remote Jobs Associated With Office in NYC Only

We used Covey as part of our hiring and/or promotional process for jobs in NYC and certain features may qualify it as an AEDT in NYC.
About the Team

The SevenRooms Data & Analytics team is the foundational data hub for the SevenRooms business — owning the pipelines, models, dashboards, and predictive systems that power decisions across GTM, Product, Finance, and Partnerships. We sit at the intersection of SevenRooms and the broader DoorDash data ecosystem, and we partner globally with teams across the US, UK, UAE, and Australia supporting all customer segments from SMB through Enterprise. We design and maintain the pipelines, models, and infrastructure that connect SevenRooms' systems with the broader DoorDash data ecosystem — and we're investing aggressively in making our datasets ready for both human and AI consumption.

About the Role

We're hiring a Manager of Data & Analytics to lead the SevenRooms D&A team — a team of six (and growing to eight) analysts and engineers responsible for the data products, AI systems, and reporting infrastructure that the rest of the business runs on. You will be both a people leader and a senior technical voice in the room: coaching analysts and engineers on their craft, owning the data roadmap end-to-end, partnering with executive stakeholders across geographies and segments, and rolling up your sleeves on the highest-complexity work. In your first 90 days, you will absorb the team's in-flight roadmap, build trust with stakeholders across S&O, GTM, Product, Finance, and Partnerships, and partner with leadership on the prioritization framework that governs what the team takes on next. Our 2026 roadmap spans the full data value chain: GenAI agents that audit Salesforce in real time, churn and ICP models that drive CSM and AE prioritization, the MRR/ARPV reporting layer that finance and leadership run the business on, and the Netsuite integration that will modernize how we report revenue.

You will report into the Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations in our In-Store organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

Lead, coach, and grow a team of senior analysts and BI engineers — running performance, career development, and hiring end-to-end.

Own the D&A roadmap across GTM, Product, Finance, and Partnerships, balancing the team's investment between predictive AI/ML systems, traditional reporting, and cross-functional analytics.

Act as the senior data voice in executive conversations — translating business problems into technical scope, pushing back when a request is the wrong shape, and influencing how leaders across segments make decisions.

Translate narrow, well-defined GTM problems into shipped solutions — designing prompts, integrating with Salesforce and our GTM stack via APIs, and instrumenting the leading indicators that prove ROI.

Partner closely with GTM Engineering, GTM Systems, and Revenue Insights to define a clean 'Build vs. Run' operating model and unlock the next generation of AI-powered GTM products.

Contribute to the team-wide AI developer infrastructure (skills libraries, MCP integrations, prompt frameworks) that makes every D&A engineer and analyst faster at deploying AI.

Help establish the technical patterns and reusable components that will power our next generation of GTM AI products as the function scales.

We’re excited about you because…

6+ years of experience in data analytics, BI engineering, or analytics engineering in a B2B SaaS environment, with demonstrated technical depth in SQL, DBT, and a modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake or BigQuery).

2+ years of people management experience leading a team of analysts, engineers, or a hybrid of both — including hiring, performance management, and career development.

Hands-on experience owning enterprise data infrastructure (Looker or equivalent BI tooling, DBT modeling at scale, Salesforce-to-warehouse pipelines) and the judgment to know when to invest in foundations versus ship for speed.

Proven track record of partnering with executive stakeholders across functions — translating ambiguous business problems into scoped technical work, and pushing back constructively when scope or data readiness is the real blocker.

Working fluency with modern AI and ML approaches (predictive modeling, LLM-powered workflows, the GenAI tooling ecosystem) and the ability to mentor a team building production AI systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead distributed teams across multiple time zones and represent the team in senior cross-functional forums.

About Customer.io

Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.

About the role

Hi, my name is Michael, Head of Data and Analytics at Customer.io, and I’m looking for a Manager, Data Science & Analytics to lead and evolve Customer.io's internal data science & analytics function. This team serves as a strategic partner across Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience organizations, helping the company make better decisions through forecasting, experimentation, behavioral analytics, and rigorous measurement.

In this role, you'll lead a team responsible for delivering business value through the applied use of data. You'll partner closely with leaders across the company to guide decisions, define success metrics, improve customer and product experiences, and drive operational efficiencies.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, analytical and technical rigor, and business acumen. We view our data team as more than a reporting function, and as a trusted advisor to the business - bringing clarity through ambiguity, uncovering opportunities, and helping Customer.io move faster and operate smarter as we scale.

What we value

Business impact through data: We focus on delivering value over reporting and find the right balance between technical rigor and business pragmatism.

Strategic partnership: We bring ideas to the table and help our partners shape priorities, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities — not just respond to requests.

Ownership and rigor: We hold ourselves to a high standard, sweating the details and ensuring our analyses, assumptions, and recommendations are accurate, trustworthy, and actionable.

Leadership and development: We believe great teams are built through coaching, challenge, and continuous growth, helping people do the best work of their careers.

What you'll do

Lead and develop a team of Data Scientists and Analysts supporting Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience.

Lead behavioral analytics, customer segmentation, experimentation, and product measurement efforts, helping teams understand customer behavior, evaluate product performance, and prioritize roadmap investments.

Develop and maintain revenue forecasts, churn models, customer health scores, and account or opportunity scoring models used across the business.

Partner with our data engineering team to manage our internal agentic data analytics platform, Smarty, supporting self-serve data access and analytics.

Define standards and best practices for analytics and data science, and refine operational frameworks to drive efficiency and scale across the team.

What we're looking for

7+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Product Analytics, or a related quantitative field, including experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

Strong expertise in experimentation, forecasting, statistical analysis, and product or business analytics.

Advanced SQL skills and proficiency with Python or similar analytical tools.

Experience defining metrics, measurement frameworks, and analytical approaches that support product, growth, and business decision-making.

Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders, influence strategy, and communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on analytical work when needed.

Experience working with modern analytics platforms and data warehouses, including Snowflake, dbt, and product analytics tools.

Experience in B2B SaaS, PLG, or subscription-based businesses preferred.

Based in the Americas, remote-friendly.

Why this role

You'll have real ownership - of a team, of a data function, and of a company that's actively building toward an AI-native analytics future. This isn't a reporting shop. You'll have a seat at the table with senior stakeholders and the latitude to shape how data drives decisions at Customer.io.

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 Usd depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.

We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family. We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

See full benefits here →

Our Process

No gotchas, no trick questions - just a clear, human process designed to help both of us make an informed decision.

30-minute video call with Recruiter

45-minute video call with Hiring Manager

Three 30-minute video calls with team members

Take-Home Assignment + Review call with the full panel

All final candidates will be asked to complete a background check and employment verifications as part of our pre-employment process.

Customer.io recognizes the stifling impact of systemic injustice on diverse communities. We commit to using our influence to increase inclusion and equity within the tech industry. We strive to build an inclusive team culture, implement bias-free hiring practices, and develop community partnerships to expand our global impact.

Zoom is the only video conference platform that we use, virtual interviews will be conducted using the video capability (i.e., not via the chat), and offers will be extended in writing on official Customer.io letterhead. Please be vigilant in all of your job search activity, and if you have any questions please contact [email protected].

Join us!

Check out our careers page for more information about why you should come work with us! We believe in empathy, transparency, responsibility, and, yes, a little awkwardness. If you're excited by what you read — apply now.

Own row-level security and entitlements.

Support product launches with data change management: coordinate data impact analysis for new products (fixed income, global stocks, perps, 24/5 trading) across downstream datasets, dashboards, and reverse ETL.

Accelerate self-service: move the organization toward self-serve analytics via semantic layers, data catalogues, and conversational BI so the data team can shift from ad-hoc queries to strategic projects.

Guide AI/ML enablement: oversee enterprise AI search, agent-based workflow automation, and LLM-powered analytics. Help balance vendor solutions with in-house development.

Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Product, Compliance, and Customer Success to translate business needs into data products.

Manage infrastructure costs: keep data + cloud cost ratio under target as AUC grows.

Operate production systems: own on-call processes, incident response, and SLOs for data freshness, accuracy, and availability.

Who You Are (Must-Haves):

8+ years in data engineering or analytics, including 3+ years managing data teams (leads + ICs).

Deep experience with modern data stack: dbt, Trino/Presto or equivalent query engines, Apache Iceberg or similar table formats, cloud object storage.

Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT patterns at scale: CDC (Debezium/Kafka), batch (Airflow/dbt), streaming, and reverse ETL.

Track record of building self-service analytics capabilities for non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with financial data: trading, invoicing, revenue attribution, or regulatory reporting in fintech or financial services.

Proficiency in Python and SQL. Comfortable reading code, reviewing PRs, and making architecture decisions.

Experience managing distributed/remote teams across multiple time zones.

Strong stakeholder management: you can translate between executive priorities and engineering execution.

Experience with GCP (GKE, GCS, BigQuery migration), Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform.

Who You Might Be (Nice-to-Haves):

Experience with brokerage or broker-dealer operations (clearing, settlement, market making, reconciliation).

Familiarity with LLM/AI tooling: MCP, vector databases, enterprise search, conversational BI (WrenAI, Cube).

Background in compliance analytics (AML/Actimize, KYC, margin calls).

Exposure to open-source data catalogues (OpenMetadata, Collate) and data quality frameworks.

How We Take Care of You:

Competitive Salary & Stock Options

Health Benefits

New Hire Home-Office Setup: One-time USD $500

Monthly Stipend: USD $150 per month via a Brex Card

Alpaca is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce.

Recruitment Privacy Policy

What are the most in-demand remote jobs in America?

Right now it’s engineering jobs, though that may change as AI gets better at coding.

Do I need to be based in the United States to apply?

Generally, yes. Our job board is aimed at American candidates, so those are the location details we show. We recommend not applying from outside the US unless the job description explicitly mentions they accept candidates from your country.

Can I only apply for companies based in my state?

If the location for the job says All U.S, you can be based anywhere in the United States. Though in some states the company may have to hire you as a contractor instead of an employee.

Which companies hire remotely in the US?

Our database has thousands of companies. Here is a list of Top Companies to work for: https://www.remoteworkusa.com/top-companies

What are the benefits of a remote job?

If you apply to remote jobs in other cities or states, you are getting more opportunities than you would if you only applied to job openings in your city.

Another benefit is time saved. If you spend an hour a day in traffic, it adds up to 10 full days per year(yes, seriously).
