Hi 👋🏼 I'm Steph, one of the Recruiting Managers at Ashby, and I’m excited that we’re growing our GTM Recruiting team! I'm an Ashby customer turned employee as of late 2024. At the time I was so excited to work with and learn from Jim, our VP of People and Talent, and see how this small but mighty company got things done, close to 2 years later I'm even more excited. I joined when the Talent team was just 5 people, and today we are a team of 17 spanning EMEA and North America with dedicated recruiting teams in Engineering, Sales & GTM. This hire will join us to support sourcing for our Sales teams. Joining the Talent team at Ashby is unique - we are the end user of our product and get to work with designers, engineers, marketing and other cross functional teams to share our expertise and feedback. One example of that? Liz’s episode on our #offeraccepted podcast talking about strategic sourcing work.

Interest in our product is driving amazing growth and, as a People Team, we need to expand our capacity to hire. Not only will you get to help build the people side of our business but you’ll also get to become an expert user of our product and a thought leader on how to use it. You’ll get to make a lasting contribution to the whole recruiting community as we drive improvements across the talent tech space. Check out our Recruiting blog and Hiring Excellence Framework as an example of our content creation for the talent community.

Joining us means being part of a talented team, tackling the challenges of our stage, and contributing to our team and product growth. We value humility, continuous improvement and a dedication to excellence (more here). If you are passionate about bringing your unique strengths to the team and building a culture of success, we would love to hear from you.

Instructions:

Take your time with your application, you do not need to be first to apply or in the first 100 to get this job. We will review EVERY application and speak to the shortlist we make based on the applications. There are no prizes for being first and no advantages to be gained by reaching out, being referred or knowing someone here, so please don't message anyone at Ashby, including anyone on the Talent team.

We review thousands of applications at Ashby, and I thought it might be helpful to share some tips on how certain resumes stand out for TA roles. These are just tips, not requirements, so please only use this if it's helpful to you.

 • Resumes that show deep full lifecycle sourcing for relevant (SaaS Sales) roles stand out. A sentence saying you’ve sourced a variety of roles doesn’t tell the reader you have experience with Sales leadership or Enterprise AE roles, for example.
 • Role descriptions on resumes that focus on delivery of hires will stand out. Projects and leadership are great, but I need to see the evidence of you doing the Sourcing work.
 • Resumes that can clearly show this experience in a growing B2B SaaS organization
 • The JD states "Demonstrated experience in creating innovative sourcing strategies" and the stand out applications will demonstrate this in their resume
 • Another note on the JD is around impact: “"Data-driven mindset, able to optimize your workflows" and data can show this impact. Ability to articulate how you’ve conducted root cause analysis to identify and solve problems.
 • Answers to application questions. Each question has context provided or real meaning for us, beyond what we would see in your resume, and applications that get short listed will have answered these questions.

The Role

Ashby is seeking a Sales Sourcer with a proven track record of discovering and hiring amazing GTM talent. In this role, you will own the end-to-end development and execution of Sourcing strategies to find exceptional talent to fill critical Sales roles.

Success in this role over the next six months will involve finding, engaging and evaluating high quality candidates to meet our company's hiring needs for GTM positions across the business. It will also require building and collating phenomenal talent pools to create a strong infrastructure for future growth.

You will achieve this by:

 • Finding, engaging and evaluating top talent for Sales positions
 • Developing passive pipeline processes that focus on the very highest quality of hire as we scale
 • Discovering and quantifying new talent pools and sourcing channels
 • Engaging with departmental leaders and hiring managers to expertly qualify requirements and define searches
 • Focusing on quality and alignment at the optimal volume to meet goals

As you are probably ascertaining from the above – we are looking for a person that gains energy from both strategizing on creative ways to accelerate our hiring as well as getting their hands dirty finding and evaluating candidates.

To be qualified for this role, you must have the following:

 • Proven track record as an expert Go To Market Sourcer in a Product led company
 • Experience working on Sales roles from within a SaaS company is critical
 • Data-driven mindset, able to optimize your workflows, balancing diversity, quality and volume.
 • Demonstrated experience in creating innovative sourcing strategies that differentiate the talent pipelines from the inbound attraction and referrals that we have traditionally used.

If you need someone else to do any of the following, then this role is probably not for you:

 • Boolean search and talent mapping activities
 • Requisition qualification with senior leaders
 • High volumes of outreach and screening calls
 • Prioritization of your workload

Benefits

 • Competitive salary and equity.
 • 10-year exercise window for stock options. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable.
 • Unlimited PTO with four weeks recommended per year. Expect “Vacation?” in our one-on-one agenda until you start taking it 😅.
 • Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US. We plan to expand this to employees in other countries as situations arise.
 • Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. Get what you need to be happy and productive!
 • $100/month education budget with more expensive items (like conferences) covered with manager approval.
 • If you’re in the US, top-notch health insurance for you and your dependents with all premiums covered by us.

Ashby’s success hinges on hiring great people and creating an environment where we can be happy, feel challenged, and do our best work. We’re being deliberate about building that environment from the ground up. I hope that excites you enough to apply.

Interview Process

At Ashby, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. We’ll dive into past projects and simulate working together via talking through past projects and conducting a short but realistic assignment. Our interview process is 4 rounds:

 1. 30-minute introduction call to discuss Ashby and your past work with me (Steph) so expect a traditional recruiting screen.
 2. A take-home assignment that will ask you to create a hiring strategy for a role as well as an example of a tailored outreach to a specific candidate we will provide you.
 3. A deeper dive into your Sourcing experience with Jim that will follow on from your assignment submission
 4. 2 hours - (broken into 4x 30 mins) with Hiring Managers, Recruiters, and a Sourcing focused interview with Liz.

Your Recruiter
Your Recruiter will be me (Steph), I will be your main point of contact and prepare you for interviews.

A word from a future colleague!
Hello, I’m Liz. As the first sourcer (and person!) to join the TA team under Jim, I’ve enjoyed not only seeing the Talent function gain its momentum and grow with Ashby, but also having real impact on that growth. One of my favorite things about being part of this team is the ability to operate with a reasonable amount of autonomy and define what “great” looks like. Ashby as a product isn’t recycling what’s already been done, and with the right mix of expertise and principled thinking, the way we find and attract talent doesn’t have to either.

About Ashby

We’re building the next generation of enterprise software and we’re starting with a suite of products that help talent leaders, recruiters, and hiring managers run their hiring process significantly better. We are well-funded, have incredible product market fit, and are backed by great investors, including Y Combinator, Elad Gil and Lachy Groom.

Our product and growth are exceptional. Ashby All-in-One is powerful, easy to use, and replaces several venture-backed companies' worth of products (often with a better experience). We have notable customers like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake. Our growth and retention metrics are best-in-class among our peers: we have tens of millions in ARR, growing >100% year over year, over 4,000 customers, very low churn, and many years of runway.

Ashby provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.

Ashby is committed to a fair and transparent hiring process. We confirm that this advertisement is for an active, existing vacancy within our organization. Please be advised that we may use artificial intelligence-driven tools to assist our recruitment team in screening, assessing, and selecting candidates for this position.

About Customer.io

Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.

About the Role

Hi, I'm Danielle, and I lead engineering recruiting here at Customer.io! I'm looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to join my team. This is a full life-cycle role, with a heavy lean towards sourcing. Sourcing will be a huge majority of the job: building candidate lists, running targeted outreach, and personally engaging the passive engineers who aren't checking job boards. We're not looking for someone to run high volume across a wide net. We're looking for someone who can go deep on a small, well-defined set of roles and build the kind of relationships that convert hard-to-reach engineers.

What We Value

Ownership: You don't wait to be told what needs attention. You track your pipeline, know where things are slipping, and fix it before anyone has to ask.

Targeted over broad: You'd rather have real conversations with the right ten people than send outreach to a hundred. You know the difference between a role that needs volume and one that needs precision.

Partnership: You work with hiring managers as a true thought partner, pushing back when a role needs recalibrating and bringing market data when it says something different than the brief.

High standards with real output: You move quickly without cutting corners on candidate experience or rigor.

What You'll Do

Source and personally engage passive engineering candidates directly, including engineers who are not actively job searching and would not otherwise apply

Build and run targeted search strategies for a number of open, hard-to-fill engineering roles rather than a high-volume requisition load

Own full-cycle recruiting for roles end to end, from candidate list and outreach through offer and close

Partner with engineering hiring managers to define candidate profiles, calibrate expectations against the current market, and adjust search strategy in real time

Deliver a high-touch, high-quality candidate experience from first outreach through offer

Bring market insight on engineering talent availability and compensation to hiring conversations

Use AI tools to sharpen search strategy and speed up sourcing research, so more of your time goes to actual conversations

What We're Looking For

A strong, demonstrable track record of sourcing and converting passive candidates yourself, including candidates who weren't actively looking when you reached out

Meaningful full-cycle recruiting experience in engineering or technical roles, where sourcing was a core part of your day

Strong technical acumen; you can assess engineering candidates for fit rather than defaulting to pedigree

Proven ability to influence engineering hiring managers and senior stakeholders with data and clear thinking

Highly organized and data-oriented, with experience using metrics to drive decisions

Practical experience using AI tools to sharpen search strategy or speed up sourcing, with specific examples of what it's changed about how you work

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $142,000 - $170,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.

We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family. We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

See full benefits here →

Our Process

No gotchas, no trick questions, just a clear, human process designed to help both of us decide if this is a good fit.

30 minute Zoom call with Hiring Manager

30 minute Zoom call with TA Leader

60 minute Zoom call, prompt exercise and review session with the team

30 minute Zoom call with Engineering Leader

All final candidates will be asked to complete a background check and employment verification as part of our pre-engagement process.

Join us!

Customer.io recognizes the stifling impact of systemic injustice on diverse communities. We commit to using our influence to increase inclusion and equity within the tech industry. We strive to build an inclusive team culture, implement bias-free hiring practices, and develop community partnerships to expand our global impact.

Zoom is the only video conferencing platform we use for interviews, and offers will always be extended in writing on official Customer.io letterhead. If you have any questions about the role or our process, please contact [email protected].

Check out our careers page for more information about why you should come work with us!
At Linear, we're building the product development system for teams and agents. AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built, and we’re shaping the tools this new era requires.

Founded in 2019, Linear has become the platform of choice for more than 40,000 companies (including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp) to plan, build, and ship their products. Today, our team is distributed across North America and Europe, and we’re continuing to grow internationally. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and a deep care for software craftsmanship.

We're looking for a Recruiting & HR Operations Specialist to join the People & Talent team. You'll own the operational infrastructure behind how we find, interview, and onboard talent, and work closely with our recruiters, hiring managers, and People team. This role sits at the intersection of recruiting operations and HR coordination, and it's the right fit for someone who notices what's broken, knows how to fix it, and wants to build something durable.

Location & work mode

Linear is a remote-first company, with optional co-working offices in San Francisco, New York, and London. This role is open to candidates based in North America — EST or CST preferred for timezone alignment with our Europe-based team. We value deep focus and async collaboration, with intentional moments to connect in person through team off-sites, optional co-working, and occasional travel.

What you'll do

Recruiting Operations

Own recruiting coordination for a high volume of open roles and create a consistent, well-run hiring experience for candidates, interviewers, and hiring managers

Be the operational heartbeat of the candidate experience — scheduling, work trial coordination, and offer logistics are often the ones candidates remember most

Own our recruiting tech stack: keep our ATS (Ashby) clean and well-configured (templates, sequences, stages, reporting) and manage vendor administration

Support the offer process: send offers, manage approval coordination, and shepherd candidates through logistics to their start date

Continuously look for ways to automate and streamline: use AI and modern tooling to move faster without sacrificing candidate experience

HR & People Operations

Design and own the onboarding experience at Linear: build an onboarding journey that's thoughtful, well-coordinated across teams, scaleable, and leaves every new hire feeling set up for success from offer acceptance through their first few months

Maintain people systems and data accuracy across our HRIS and ATS

Coordinate employee lifecycle events including onboarding, transfers, and location changes

Identify opportunities to make People Operations more efficient: automate the repeatable, improve the manual, and build systems that scale with the team

What we’re looking for

4+ years of experience in recruiting operations, HR coordination, or people operations at a fast-moving tech company

Experience supporting employee onboarding and people programs, not just recruiting processes

Proven ability to juggle multiple open roles and competing priorities without dropping details or letting candidates go cold

Hands-on experience with an ATS (Ashby a plus) and HRIS systems; you know how to get data in clean and keep it that way

Genuinely excited about using AI tools and automation to make your work and the candidate experience better

Experience scaling or improving HR systems and processes, not just running them as-is

Clear, warm communicator: you're the kind of person candidates remember positively even when they don't get the role

High ownership mentality: you notice what's broken and fix it without waiting to be asked

Familiarity with tools like Notion, Slack, and Linear

What we offer

We're a small, focused team that cares deeply about the quality of our work and the people we do it with.
