About the Team

The SevenRooms Data & Analytics team is the foundational data hub for the SevenRooms business — owning the pipelines, models, dashboards, and predictive systems that power decisions across GTM, Product, Finance, and Partnerships. We sit at the intersection of SevenRooms and the broader DoorDash data ecosystem, and we partner globally with teams across the US, UK, UAE, and Australia supporting all customer segments from SMB through Enterprise. We design and maintain the pipelines, models, and infrastructure that connect SevenRooms' systems with the broader DoorDash data ecosystem — and we're investing aggressively in making our datasets ready for both human and AI consumption.

About the Role

We're hiring a Manager of Data & Analytics to lead the SevenRooms D&A team — a team of six (and growing to eight) analysts and engineers responsible for the data products, AI systems, and reporting infrastructure that the rest of the business runs on. You will be both a people leader and a senior technical voice in the room: coaching analysts and engineers on their craft, owning the data roadmap end-to-end, partnering with executive stakeholders across geographies and segments, and rolling up your sleeves on the highest-complexity work. In your first 90 days, you will absorb the team's in-flight roadmap, build trust with stakeholders across S&O, GTM, Product, Finance, and Partnerships, and partner with leadership on the prioritization framework that governs what the team takes on next. Our 2026 roadmap spans the full data value chain: GenAI agents that audit Salesforce in real time, churn and ICP models that drive CSM and AE prioritization, the MRR/ARPV reporting layer that finance and leadership run the business on, and the Netsuite integration that will modernize how we report revenue.

You will report into the Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations in our In-Store organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

Lead, coach, and grow a team of senior analysts and BI engineers — running performance, career development, and hiring end-to-end.

Own the D&A roadmap across GTM, Product, Finance, and Partnerships, balancing the team's investment between predictive AI/ML systems, traditional reporting, and cross-functional analytics.

Act as the senior data voice in executive conversations — translating business problems into technical scope, pushing back when a request is the wrong shape, and influencing how leaders across segments make decisions.

Translate narrow, well-defined GTM problems into shipped solutions — designing prompts, integrating with Salesforce and our GTM stack via APIs, and instrumenting the leading indicators that prove ROI.

Partner closely with GTM Engineering, GTM Systems, and Revenue Insights to define a clean 'Build vs. Run' operating model and unlock the next generation of AI-powered GTM products.

Contribute to the team-wide AI developer infrastructure (skills libraries, MCP integrations, prompt frameworks) that makes every D&A engineer and analyst faster at deploying AI.

Help establish the technical patterns and reusable components that will power our next generation of GTM AI products as the function scales.

We’re excited about you because…

6+ years of experience in data analytics, BI engineering, or analytics engineering in a B2B SaaS environment, with demonstrated technical depth in SQL, DBT, and a modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake or BigQuery).

2+ years of people management experience leading a team of analysts, engineers, or a hybrid of both — including hiring, performance management, and career development.

Hands-on experience owning enterprise data infrastructure (Looker or equivalent BI tooling, DBT modeling at scale, Salesforce-to-warehouse pipelines) and the judgment to know when to invest in foundations versus ship for speed.

Proven track record of partnering with executive stakeholders across functions — translating ambiguous business problems into scoped technical work, and pushing back constructively when scope or data readiness is the real blocker.

Working fluency with modern AI and ML approaches (predictive modeling, LLM-powered workflows, the GenAI tooling ecosystem) and the ability to mentor a team building production AI systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead distributed teams across multiple time zones and represent the team in senior cross-functional forums.

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

DoorDash cares about you and your overall well-being. That’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package to all regular employees, which includes a 401(k) plan with employer matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off and paid sick leave in compliance with applicable laws (e.g. Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act). DoorDash also offers medical, dental, and vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, disability and basic life insurance, family-forming assistance, and a mental health program, among others.

To learn more about our benefits, visit our careers page here.

See below for paid time off details:

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$141,400—$208,000 USD

About DoorDash

At DoorDash, our mission to empower local economies shapes how our team members move quickly, learn, and reiterate in order to make impactful decisions that display empathy for our range of users—from Dashers to merchant partners to consumers.
About Customer.io

Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.

About the role

Hi, my name is Michael, Head of Data and Analytics at Customer.io, and I’m looking for a Manager, Data Science & Analytics to lead and evolve Customer.io's internal data science & analytics function. This team serves as a strategic partner across Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience organizations, helping the company make better decisions through forecasting, experimentation, behavioral analytics, and rigorous measurement.

In this role, you'll lead a team responsible for delivering business value through the applied use of data. You'll partner closely with leaders across the company to guide decisions, define success metrics, improve customer and product experiences, and drive operational efficiencies.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, analytical and technical rigor, and business acumen. We view our data team as more than a reporting function, and as a trusted advisor to the business - bringing clarity through ambiguity, uncovering opportunities, and helping Customer.io move faster and operate smarter as we scale.

What we value

Business impact through data: We focus on delivering value over reporting and find the right balance between technical rigor and business pragmatism.

Strategic partnership: We bring ideas to the table and help our partners shape priorities, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities — not just respond to requests.

Ownership and rigor: We hold ourselves to a high standard, sweating the details and ensuring our analyses, assumptions, and recommendations are accurate, trustworthy, and actionable.

Leadership and development: We believe great teams are built through coaching, challenge, and continuous growth, helping people do the best work of their careers.

What you'll do

Lead and develop a team of Data Scientists and Analysts supporting Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience.

Lead behavioral analytics, customer segmentation, experimentation, and product measurement efforts, helping teams understand customer behavior, evaluate product performance, and prioritize roadmap investments.

Develop and maintain revenue forecasts, churn models, customer health scores, and account or opportunity scoring models used across the business.

Partner with our data engineering team to manage our internal agentic data analytics platform, Smarty, supporting self-serve data access and analytics.

Define standards and best practices for analytics and data science, and refine operational frameworks to drive efficiency and scale across the team.

What we're looking for

7+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Product Analytics, or a related quantitative field, including experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

Strong expertise in experimentation, forecasting, statistical analysis, and product or business analytics.

Advanced SQL skills and proficiency with Python or similar analytical tools.

Experience defining metrics, measurement frameworks, and analytical approaches that support product, growth, and business decision-making.

Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders, influence strategy, and communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on analytical work when needed.

Experience working with modern analytics platforms and data warehouses, including Snowflake, dbt, and product analytics tools.

Experience in B2B SaaS, PLG, or subscription-based businesses preferred.

Based in the Americas, remote-friendly.

Why this role

You'll have real ownership - of a team, of a data function, and of a company that's actively building toward an AI-native analytics future. This isn't a reporting shop. You'll have a seat at the table with senior stakeholders and the latitude to shape how data drives decisions at Customer.io.

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 Usd depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.

We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family. We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

See full benefits here →

Our Process

No gotchas, no trick questions - just a clear, human process designed to help both of us make an informed decision.

30-minute video call with Recruiter

45-minute video call with Hiring Manager

Three 30-minute video calls with team members

Take-Home Assignment + Review call with the full panel

All final candidates will be asked to complete a background check and employment verifications as part of our pre-employment process.

Customer.io recognizes the stifling impact of systemic injustice on diverse communities. We commit to using our influence to increase inclusion and equity within the tech industry. We strive to build an inclusive team culture, implement bias-free hiring practices, and develop community partnerships to expand our global impact.

Zoom is the only video conference platform that we use, virtual interviews will be conducted using the video capability (i.e., not via the chat), and offers will be extended in writing on official Customer.io letterhead. Please be vigilant in all of your job search activity, and if you have any questions please contact [email protected].

Join us!

Check out our careers page for more information about why you should come work with us! You will manage three team leads, balancing operational delivery (invoicing, embedded analytics, regulatory reporting) with strategic bets (self-service warehouse, AI-powered analytics, enterprise search).

This is a player-coach role. Manage leads, set priorities, and ensure delivery.

Own the Data Lakehouse architecture: Trino, Iceberg/GCS, Airflow, Airbyte, Redpanda CDC, dbt. Make build-vs-buy decisions on tooling.

Drive partner invoicing accuracy and evolution: ensure invoicing logic is versioned, reproducible, and scales with new pricing mechanisms and product launches.

Deliver embedded analytics: expose warehouse data to partners via BrokerDash, SSR pipelines, and API-based reporting. Own row-level security and entitlements.

Support product launches with data change management: coordinate data impact analysis for new products (fixed income, global stocks, perps, 24/5 trading) across downstream datasets, dashboards, and reverse ETL.

Accelerate self-service: move the organization toward self-serve analytics via semantic layers, data catalogues, and conversational BI so the data team can shift from ad-hoc queries to strategic projects.

Guide AI/ML enablement: oversee enterprise AI search, agent-based workflow automation, and LLM-powered analytics. Help balance vendor solutions with in-house development.

Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Product, Compliance, and Customer Success to translate business needs into data products.

Manage infrastructure costs: keep data + cloud cost ratio under target as AUC grows.

Operate production systems: own on-call processes, incident response, and SLOs for data freshness, accuracy, and availability.

Who You Are (Must-Haves):

8+ years in data engineering or analytics, including 3+ years managing data teams (leads + ICs).

Deep experience with modern data stack: dbt, Trino/Presto or equivalent query engines, Apache Iceberg or similar table formats, cloud object storage.

Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT patterns at scale: CDC (Debezium/Kafka), batch (Airflow/dbt), streaming, and reverse ETL.

Track record of building self-service analytics capabilities for non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with financial data: trading, invoicing, revenue attribution, or regulatory reporting in fintech or financial services.

Proficiency in Python and SQL. Comfortable reading code, reviewing PRs, and making architecture decisions.

Experience managing distributed/remote teams across multiple time zones.

Strong stakeholder management: you can translate between executive priorities and engineering execution.

Experience with GCP (GKE, GCS, BigQuery migration), Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform.

Who You Might Be (Nice-to-Haves):

Experience with brokerage or broker-dealer operations (clearing, settlement, market making, reconciliation).

Familiarity with LLM/AI tooling: MCP, vector databases, enterprise search, conversational BI (WrenAI, Cube).

Background in compliance analytics (AML/Actimize, KYC, margin calls).

Exposure to open-source data catalogues (OpenMetadata, Collate) and data quality frameworks.

How We Take Care of You:

Competitive Salary & Stock Options

Health Benefits

New Hire Home-Office Setup: One-time USD $500

Monthly Stipend: USD $150 per month via a Brex Card

Alpaca is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce.

Recruitment Privacy Policy
