MinIO is the industry leader in high-performance object storage and the company behind the world’s fastest, most widely deployed object store, powering production infrastructure for more than half of the Fortune 500, including 9 of the 10 largest global automakers and all 10 of the largest U.S. banks. Our enterprise offering, AIStor, is engineered to handle the scale, speed, and pressure of modern AI and analytics workloads—from terabytes to exabytes—all in a single namespace.

The MinIO team is looking for a technically strong curriculum engineer who is equally at home on a sales call and in a data center. In this role, you'll build and deliver training across the full spectrum of MinIO's technical audience — from storage administrators learning to operate AIStor in production, to field architects preparing for competitive enterprise deals, to partners who need to sell and position MinIO products effectively.

This role has real variety. On any given week, you might be building a hands-on Kubernetes lab, delivering a live enablement session for field architects, adapting a sales deck into a teachable module for partners, or wrapping our core curriculum in a use-case narrative for a specific deployment context. You enjoy that variety. You're as comfortable in front of a room of FAs as you are at a kubectl prompt.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, product marketing, sales leadership, and the field. You welcome the freedom and opportunity of being part of a startup and have the self-discipline to identify needs and get things done without waiting to be asked. You will be encouraged to help shape the strategy that the MinIO team executes.

Previous experience in a field architect, solutions architect, or technical sales role is required — you need to understand how FAs think, what they need in a competitive engagement, and how to make training land in that context. Previous experience with competitive software-defined storage platforms is strongly preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

What You Will Do

Design and deliver field architect curriculum — equipping FAs and Customer Engineers (CEs) with the technical depth and competitive positioning fluency needed to win enterprise deals

Deliver live and recorded enablement sessions for field architects and, occasionally, non-technical sales audiences

Develop partner sales curriculum by translating sales and marketing content into structured, teachable modules for partner and reseller audiences

Build core curriculum for customer administrators and operators — covering installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting

Create use-case 'wrappers' that reframe core curriculum content for specific deployment contexts and horizontal use cases, with references to vertical specifics where relevant

Contribute to special projects requiring hands-on technical skill across a broad range of technologies including Linux, Ansible, Python, Kubernetes, and other core technologies

Build real-world, use case–driven hands-on labs that establish best practices for deploying and operating MinIO products

Apply prior experience with competitive storage platforms to inform differentiated, insight-rich training content

Package labs and content into short, outcome-oriented training modules with videos

Record engaging videos of modules for MinIO Academy, YouTube, and LinkedIn

Your Skills and Experience

5+ years in a field architect, solutions architect, technical sales engineer, or equivalent customer-facing technical role

3+ years of experience with software-defined storage; hands-on experience with competitive platforms (e.g., Vast, Cloudian, Weka) strongly preferred

3+ years using Amazon AWS, including a solid understanding of S3 and the S3 API

3+ years working in a Kubernetes environment

Working proficiency in Linux; comfortable with Ansible, Python, and related tooling

1+ years building and maintaining workflows in git

Demonstrated comfort engaging field architects and sales teams — you genuinely enjoy it

Strong oral and written communication skills — in writing, in front of a camera, and live

Previous experience with curriculum development or formal training delivery is a plus, but is not required

What We Offer:

Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)

401K with 3% Contribution

Pre-IPO Stock Options

At least 12 Public Holidays

Flexible Time Off

Equal Opportunity Policy (EEO)

MinIO is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer. We review applications for employment without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, age, veteran status, genetic information, physical or mental disability, medical condition, marital status, or any other basis prohibited by law.

Our enterprise offering, AIStor, is engineered to handle the scale, speed, and pressure of modern AI and analytics, from terabytes to exabytes, all in a single namespace.

This is the senior product role on a small, high-leverage product team. You'll own key pieces of the product line — from how we position it, to how we price it, to how the field sells it. You'll work closely with engineering and be the person Marketing and Field teams looks to for the answer to 'why us, why now”.

We need a product leader who lives close to customers and to revenue, who can hold a deeply technical conversation with multiple stakeholders - from technical buyers to executives, and who treats GTM as a first-class part of the product — not something that happens after the product is 'done.'

What You Will Do:

Growth strategy for AI — where we play, who we sell to, how we win, and the sequencing of bets that gets us there

The customer and buyer motion — being in front of inference platform teams, data platform leads, and the buyers who decide. Joining strategic deals. Running the win/loss loop and feeding it back into strategy.

Positioning and narrative — partnering with Marketing on how the AI stories land in market, what we publish, and how a first-time buyer encounters MinIO

Field partnership — building the assets sellers actually use, supporting the deals that matter, making sure the field can run an inference-buyer or lakehouse-buyer conversation confidently

Pricing and packaging— how MinIO portfolio products are packaged, how the AI and Analytics motions are priced differently if they should be, and how we capture value as workloads grow

Competitive intelligence — knowing the AI training inference competitive landscape, and shaping how we differentiate

Partner GTM for AI — the AI ecosystem is partner-heavy, and unlocking it is part of the role

Influence on the product — through customer signal, pipeline data, and competitive insight you will be the most informed external voice in the room to influence direction.

Your Skills and Experience:

8+ years in product management, with at least 3 years on infrastructure, data, or AI/ML products sold to technical buyers

Demonstrated fluency in modern AI and analytics stacks — you don't need to have trained a foundation model, but you should be conversant in how training and inference pipelines actually consume storage, key tradeoffs and why it matters, and how data platform teams make build/buy decisions

A track record of working closely with field teams on real revenue — you've sat in on deals, you've built enablement that sellers actually used, you've changed a deal's outcome with a well-timed product conversation

Partnership with marketing on crafting compelling narratives, presented at external conferences, webinars

Strong analytical instincts — you reach for data to test your hypotheses, not to confirm them

The ability to write clearly and think rigorously in writing. Most of the work that compounds in this role is written

Excellent partnership with engineering — you've earned engineers' trust before by being technically credible and by making prioritization defensible

Real comfort with pricing and packaging decisions — if you've owned or co-owned them, not just commented on them, that's a big plus

Background in storage, analytics, databases, or data infrastructure

If you have been an AI/ML Engineer with deep expertise in the data infrastructure stack we would love to talk to you.

Experience with open-source-adjacent commercial products and the unique GTM motions they require

Prior experience at a high-growth infrastructure company

What We Offer:

Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)

401K with 3% Contribution

Pre-IPO Stock Options

At least 12 Public Holidays

Flexible Time Off

Equal Opportunity Policy (EEO)

MinIO is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
