About

Figma

Figma is a browser-based design software company founded in 2012. Its original product spent several years in development before a preview release in 2015 and a broader public launch in 2016. Unlike earlier desktop-focused design tools, Figma was built around real-time online collaboration, allowing multiple people to work in the same design file.

Figma Design is mainly used to create interfaces, prototypes, and shared design systems. The company has since expanded into FigJam for online whiteboarding, Slides for presentations, and Dev Mode for translating design details into production code. Its newer products include Figma Make for generating functional prototypes and apps with AI, Sites for publishing websites, and Buzz for producing branded marketing materials.

From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!

Figma is building its founding Forward Deployed Engineering team to solve the complex, real-world challenges that emerge when bringing Figma’s products into large-scale enterprise environments and looking for founding Forward Deployed Engineers. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll embed directly with strategic customers, working across their codebases, design systems, developer environments, and workflows to make Figma’s products successful within their unique technical constraints. You’ll tackle the hardest adoption challenges hands-on, from complex frontend stacks and legacy systems to security and access requirements, while building trusted partnerships with customers’ senior engineering teams.

This is a senior/staff-level engineering role within Product and Engineering, not a sales or services function. Your goal is smooth adoption by the customer’s product and engineering teams, which means making complex workflows work simply in their environment and solving the underlying problems You’ll do that hands-on, often by writing Figma product code, then turn what you learn into a reusable path for future customers instead of taking permanent ownership of the customer’s codebase. . Working closely with Figma’s Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Experience teams, you’ll help shape both the product and how this brand-new function works and scales. The role is highly collaborative, deeply customer-facing, and built for engineers who thrive in ambiguity, take end-to-end ownership, and want to solve the highest-impact problems at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer needs. At Figma, design isn't just how something looks—it's how it works, how it feels, and how it scales. Our designers are systems thinkers, prototypers, storytellers, and craftspeople who care deeply about quality and collaboration. In this role, you'll turn ambiguity into clarity, push the product forward with engineers, PMs, and researchers, and help us invent new ways for people to design and build products together.

With an eye for simplicity and craft, curiosity for complex systems, and an appetite for technical challenges, you can help define the future of how software is made.

This is a unique opportunity for a designer who loves both craft and technical depth. You'll prototype, build, and ship alongside engineers while helping define foundational experiences that support millions of creators across Figma.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:

Design and ship end-to-end experiences that help organize, manage, and deliver content across Figma's products, as part of the Content Management Systems team

Partner closely with engineering to shape platform capabilities and technical infrastructure that support CMS and open-source initiatives

Translate technically complex systems into intuitive, elegant user experiences

Prototype early and often to explore ideas, validate concepts, and communicate nuanced interaction and technical decisions

Contribute to product strategy and long-term vision by bringing together customer insights, product thinking, and technical understanding

Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers throughout the product development process

Help raise the quality bar across the organization through thoughtful feedback, design critiques, and mentorship

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

4+ years of experience designing UX and UI for a software product of similar scale and complexity

Exceptional product design craft with strong visual and interaction skills, especially in complex software where systems thinking matters as much as any individual screen — with a proven ability to simplify technically complex systems into intuitive, thoughtful user experiences

Code is part of your design process, not something you wait to hand off. You build working prototypes to explore interaction ideas, understand technical possibilities, and communicate a direction

Demonstrated ability to move fast, forming a point of view, testing it, and adjusting course without waiting for complete information

Ability to define a clear product and design vision in ambiguous spaces, using customer insights, qualitative research, and product data to guide decisions

Track record of independently driving design from discovery through launch, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals

Naturally curious about how software is built, with strong cross-functional partnerships across design, engineering, product management, and research — raising the quality of work through thoughtful collaboration, feedback, and a deep care for the workflows of designers, developers, and other creative makers

While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

Experience building and shipping software through coding, AI-assisted development, or other technical approaches

Background designing content management systems, asset management platforms, or foundational platform products

Familiarity designing developer tools, APIs, SDKs, or other highly technical product experiences

Contributions to or designing for open-source software

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go.
Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!

The Marketing Engineer, AI Deployment will design and build programmatic go-to-market systems and AI-powered workflows that improve efficiency, impact, and execution across Marketing. This role sits at the intersection of operations, data, and marketing with a focus on turning strategy & manual work into scalable, automated systems.

This is not a traditional operations role. It is a systems-focused role dedicated to building the infrastructure, workflows, and intelligence layers that power a modern, product-informed revenue and efficiency engine across marketing. The ideal candidate is an expert in building interconnected data layers optimized for AI, driving AI adoption, and translating complex business challenges into scalable, automated technical workflows that directly drive revenue and operational efficiency.

Success in this role is measured in three ways: agents live—the count of AI systems you've shipped into real, recurring use by marketers; hours saved—manual work returned to the org and reinvested in higher-leverage problems; and revenue driven—pipeline, conversion lift, or deal velocity directly attributable to what you've built. Everything else flows from those three numbers.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you'll do at Figma:

Identify and define high-impact AI use cases across marketing, taking them from prototype to full deployment

Coach and partner with marketers to take them from novice to full workflow transformation and self-sufficiency

Build custom tools, agents, automations, and integrations (APIs, MCP Servers) tailored to each operator's responsibilities—campaign ops, lifecycle, content production, intelligence reporting, and beyond

Own and evolve a GitHub-managed marketing AI cortex of prompts, skills, context files, and agents. Treat it like a product: versioned, documented, and continuously improved

Recognize patterns across your cohort and systematically productize what works—tools built for one marketer should become reusable for peers, then the broader org

Measure what works. Define evaluation criteria, instrument AI workflows, and track adoption to identify which agents, prompts, and skills drive impact—and retire the ones that don't

Document every workflow, tool, playbook, and transformation pattern so knowledge scales beyond any one person

Stay ahead of AI trends in Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic systems—and share wins visibly with your cohort and leadership to build momentum and inspire adoption

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

A demonstrated track record as an AI builder—agents, LLM workflows, automations, or prompt systems you've shipped into production and seen real users adopt. We care more about what you've built than how many years you've spent in any one function

Deep, hands-on expertise in Gumloop (preferred) or equivalent agent orchestration platforms such as n8n, Workato, or Zapier—including authoring shared workflow templates that non-technical users can adopt and modify on their own

Experience building and maintaining shared prompt libraries, skill catalogs, or AI-readable knowledge bases—bonus if you've managed them in version control (GitHub, etc.) with proper documentation and evals

A bias toward measurement—you instinctively instrument what you build, define what “good” looks like, and iterate based on signal rather than vibes

5+ years of experience building systems for go-to-market teams—Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, AI Transformation, or Technology Transformation. We're open to less time-in-seat if your AI builder portfolio is strong

While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

Operate marketing automation and composable CDP tools (e.g. Customer.io, Hightouch, Census) with reverse ETL workflows

Query data using SQL across warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery, with light scripting in Python or TypeScript for integration prototyping

Lead cross-functional enablement, training, and change-management programs that translate stakeholder needs into structured AI workflows

Apply product-led growth principles to shape product-informed marketing motions and campaign strategies

Engage with Figma's product ecosystem and the broader design and developer tooling landscape

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways.

Figma's platform helps teams bring ideas to life — and Data Science is central to how we measure, improve, and scale it. We're on a mission to make data self-serve for every Figmate: moving from a world where every data question requires filing a request to a DS or DE, to one where anyone can ask a question in plain language and get a trustworthy answer in minutes. We're hiring Figma's first dedicated Technical Program Manager for Data Science to own that mission — driving our multi-phase Self-Serve Analytics program from semantic layer expansion through the Figma Data Assistant, while building the operational foundation for a growing DS org.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you'll do at Figma:

Own end-to-end program delivery for Figma's Self-Serve Analytics initiative that includes semantic layer expansion, Slack bot launch, automated eval framework, and the Figma Data Assistant

Coordinate delivery across Data Engineering, DS ICs, Security, IT, and business stakeholders (Sales, Product, Finance, Research) to expand self-serve data coverage and drive adoption

Lead the governance and security work stream: work with Security and IT on LLM data access policies, PII guardrails, access controls, and LLM provider approvals

Drive adoption and change management — build champion networks, run training programs, and meet Figmates where they work (Slack, Notion) to shift from request-based to self-serve data culture

Build and maintain DS org operations: planning cycles, headcount tracking, onboarding programs, and team rhythms for a growing org

Own program-level success metrics: % of data questions answered via self-serve, time-to-insight, DS ad-hoc request volume reduction

Work closely with peer TPMs & Data Scientists (AI, Infra, Performance) to coordinate on overlapping platform programs and shared data infrastructure needs

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

5+ years of technical program management experience (or equivalent) driving data infrastructure, analytics platform, or data democratization programs

Hands-on experience with modern data stacks: you're comfortable discussing semantic layers, data catalogs, BI tooling (Hex, Sigma), and AI-powered query interfaces (Cortex Analyst, RAG) at a program level

A track record of driving adoption — not just shipping internal tools, but changing behavior across technical and non-technical audiences through change management, enablement, and champion programs

Strong cross-functional program delivery: planning, dependency management, stakeholder alignment across deeply distributed teams

While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:

Hands-on familiarity with dbt, Snowflake Semantic Views, Acryl, Dagster, or similar data engineering tooling

Experience building or scaling eval frameworks for AI-generated outputs (golden SQL, accuracy dashboards, regression detection)

Background in data-driven product analytics or developer tools — understanding of how DS ICs work with PMs and EMs and driving alignment on requirements

Strong bias to action, self-motivation and curiosity, with a desire to bring people together in a fast-paced environment

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

Pay Transparency Disclosure

If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below.

Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location.
