Responsible for attracting and hiring world-class legal, regulatory, compliance, and federal proposal talent, you will play a critical role in our continued rapid growth, bringing a strategic and hands-on approach to building our legal organization. In this role, you will hold the keys to our highest-priority legal and commercial expansions, collaborating directly with Legal and Business Affairs Leadership to deliver on ambitious hiring needs. We are looking for someone who can masterfully handle every aspect of the legal recruiting lifecycle and is excited to be part of a small, impactful team where no task is too big or too small.</p><ul><li><strong><em>This position is open to 6-month Contract employment.</em></strong></li></ul> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul><li>Conduct in-depth interviews and competency assessments of potential EH&amp;S managers, environmental engineers, industrial hygienists, site safety specialists, and facilities/maintenance technicians.</li><li>Engage passive EH&amp;S talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean strings, referrals, SOBO campaigns, and specialized safety and facilities networks and professional associations (e.g., ASSP, NSC).</li><li>Collaborate closely with operations, facilities, and safety leadership to define technical role requirements and craft compelling value propositions for EH&amp;S professionals.</li><li>Drive a diverse talent pipeline into the organization while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience from initial outreach to offer acceptance.</li><li>Represent the company's brand internally and externally, clearly articulating our unique business model, manufacturing scale, and commitment to workplace safety.</li><li>Leverage internal resources and market insights to build strategic outreach campaigns that sell our unique value proposition to top-tier safety talent.</li></ul> <h3>Required Qualifications</h3> <ul><li>5+ years of direct, full-cycle recruiting experience specifically focused on EH&amp;S, EPC, or manufacturing safety roles.</li><li>Proven experience conducting thorough competency evaluations of safety capabilities (e.g., OSHA compliance, EPA regulations, industrial hygiene, incident investigation, and safety management systems).</li><li>Experience managing strategic relationships with EH&amp;S directors, plant managers, and operations leaders to calibrate candidate profiles and provide transparent pipeline reporting.</li><li>Experience advising leadership on market conditions, safety talent availability, and candidate salary expectations to improve hiring outcomes.</li><li>Clear communication style to evaluate candidate motivations, safety philosophies, and cultural fit within a fast-paced, high-impact environment.</li><li>Experience sourcing strategies seamlessly between technical office/engineering roles and hands-on, field-based site operations.</li><li>Highly autonomous but deeply collaborative, thriving in a dynamic, high-growth, and safety-critical environment.</li><li>Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.</li></ul> <h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3> <ul><li>Experience recruiting within defense technology, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing sectors.</li><li>General understanding of federal security clearances (Secret, TS/SCI) and how they affect hiring timelines.</li><li>Proven track record of filling senior or leadership-level roles across environmental, safety, or facilities teams.</li><li>Active connection to professional safety, facilities management, or technical trade communities.</li><li>Experience in an agency or high-growth startup environment with a fast-moving engineering or manufacturing culture.</li><li>Multiple years of experience working at an agency or fast-paced startup environment, particularly one with a strong product or engineering culture.</li></ul><p>US Salary Range</p><p>$50&mdash;$60 USD</p><p>The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. If you are interested in working in an extremely innovative and fast paced environment, where your work directly makes an impact and difference in the products that are fielded, this a fantastic opportunity.<br></p><h3>What You'll Do</h3> <ul><li>You will work as an Airworthiness Engineer to develop and author Airworthiness certification and conformance plans for developmental and production aircraft stores, supporting Flight Releases, tailored airworthiness, and customer platform integration across all services.</li><li>You and your team will perform technical airworthiness planning, tracking and verification support within a digital environment. This includes the development and negotiation of airworthiness bases of certification, means of compliance, and other certification activities. You will be responsible for cultivating total-system Airworthiness relationships between engineers and other technical authorities, including our customer partners.</li><li>Airworthiness engineering duties include guiding technical reviews with other airworthiness engineers and engineering disciplines across the total system design, development and test processes.</li><li>You are expected to perform functional and process analyses, requirements allocation and definition studies with program engineers and customer representatives. You will facilitate all interactions which translate customer requirements into criteria and derived requirements.</li><li>You will ensure the logical and systematic realization of customer airworthiness certification objectives, to include the tailoring of traditional Airworthiness processes, and continuously evaluate and update Airworthiness plans with new realized solutions to meet program needs throughout the product lifecycle.</li><li>Faced with numerous Airworthiness assessments you will proactively support and guide all design development towards Airworthiness compliance and support all processes leading to a successful issuance of a Military Flight Release (MFR) or other customer specific airworthiness approval. Subsequent to this you will actively solicit all engineering and systems data required to support iterative and on-going Airworthiness Boards, technical interchange meetings, and risk assessments.</li><li>You will develop, author and maintain all Airworthiness activities in a digital environment which is interconnected with system requirements, program schedules, flight test point matrix, and also risk assessments. Using this digital infrastructure you will demonstrate the ability to perform statistical analysis or program performance and leverage your digital tools to provide input to the flight test program execution schedule.</li><li>Faced with technical and execution challenges, you will be expected to develop creative solutions to unique problems. You will be biased for action — you are empowered to or engage your team to solve and fix any problem you encounter.</li></ul> <h3>Required Qualifications</h3> <ul><li>A bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or aviation related engineering degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.</li><li>8+ years airworthiness engineering experience.</li><li>Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with DoW and FAA airworthiness authorities.</li><li>Experience with DoW Airworthiness Policy Directives, Instructions, and Airworthiness Bulletins ((MIL-HDBK-516, Seek Eagle Process, and WSESRB, NNMSB, etc.)</li><li>Experience working FAA Airworthiness processes throughout the life cycle of a developmental aircraft system to achieve successful program completion.</li><li>Experience developing and managing Airworthiness plans, tracking of Airworthiness criterions, and similar activities.</li><li>Must have experience with store integration on DoW platforms.</li><li>Ability to develop and execute Airworthiness Certification process improvement initiatives.</li><li>Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on technical subjects.</li><li>Strong computer and documentation experience.</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret-Level security clearance.</li><li>In this role, you will be subject to pre-employment and randomized substance screening, as required by the Company.</li></ul> <h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3> <ul><li>Masters in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or aviation related technical discipline.
